The store refused to accept damaged product. After multiple calls to Dyson co I was promised to replace the damaged battery. After 3 weeks I received battery but it was battery for a different model z after spending another hour on the phone Dyson representative promised to replace the battery again . So I spend 700$ almost a month ago and stil didt receive the battery and can’t use the vacuum.. Very unsutisfied and don’t recommend to deal with such unresponsable company

Waste of money. Breaks down

This is a $700 vacuum and the battery lasts for 15mins. We used this a handful of times for the first few months. It just hangs on the wall wasting space bc it always thinks it’s clogged. I’ve cleaned it very thoroughly and it still will not work properly. Don’t waste your money. You’re paying for the name and nothing more. My wife bought a Hoover. It’s 10Xs the vacuum that this stain is for less the $100.

Its 15 minutes of cleaning, 3-5 hours of charging, then 15 more minutes of cleaning before you have to charge it again. Very unhappy with my purchase and best buy said i cany return it or exchange it because its been over 15 days. So i wasted $830. Im a mother and i work full time and i was hoping this vacuum would help me around the house and save me more money down the road... Very Very unsatisfied.

I've gone from Oreck to Miele to Sanitaire and many more in between. I've spent $100-700 on each vacuum trying to find the right one and the right combination for my needs. My household is 60% carpet, 30% tile, and 10% pet hair flooring. Dyson has managed to make a vacuum that answers every single one of my needs in a lightweight and easy to use vacuum. I can't even believe it. I used to use my Sanitaire for my carpets... until I just used my Dyson and went over my recently vacuumed carpet only to pick up 3 more bins full of hair and fur. I used to use a Miele canister vac for my hard floors and everything else... until I used my shiny new V10 that did the job at least 30-40% better. Pros: - no more juggling plugs from room to room. - no more heavy vac to push around, this vac is light. - insane suction power even on medium, and low does 90% of the job. Max... well it's just ridiculous, it's like a V10 Lamborghini. - no more constant bag replacements. this canister is so easy to empty it's amazing. - ease of use, it makes daily cleaning a breeze. Cons: - It rests weird on my thumb and isn't comfortable after a while. - Battery time on Max with Torque brush is 5min (only use this for embedded dirt) - Sometimes you have to dig into the canister to get some of the hair wrapped around the base.

Amazing power for a stick vacuum

The way the dust bin opens makes emptying it and clean up a breeze. No cords to worry about getting in your way, and best of all, no stupid canister behind you to worry about accidentally knocking stuff over while you're cleaning. The only cons I had about it is that it can get pretty top heavy, and the price is a lot to spend for a vacuum cleaner. But for me personally, I look at the $800 I spend on this as the vacuum I'll actually enjoy using for the decade or more to come. It's powerful, it gives me freedom and ease to pick up, move around and clean, and it's versatile with the included attachments.

battery life is awful

Rest assured the max run time for this machine is 60 minutes while in standard mode. While in MAX mode you will get the lowest run time. This mode should only be used on tougher jobs. stopped working - battery failed

I can only use it for living room and few other areas before it stops. Couple days ago, this unit failed to run. The battery has to be replaced.

Less than 24hrs and it doesn't work anymore

First issue the 60min battery life is not true unless you only use the smallest non-motorized attachment. You will be lucky to get 20min vacuuming three rooms. 2nd issue the bagless container is small and needs to be emptied often. The finale issue and the main reason on returning the V10, the V10 stopped working because of a clogged chamber and it could not be cleared and would not function anymore. This vacuum is not ready to be used for a full house and use is sensitive to heavy cleaning. It might work for small apartments with limited dirt & dust, but with any pets or kids I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this vac! This review again is based on my limited "quick" experience for this over-hype non-suction stick.

Only nitpick complaints

The new bin size gives my Dyson Slim a run for its money. Its increased size does make it feel more like you're lugging something around than a lightweight zip around cleaning tool. That's important if you're going to be cleaning for extended periods, especially now that it has a batter that will let you. Because of the ability to clean longer, I do wish they'd gone with a power switch/button instead of a trigger. You get a little finger fatigue after awhile. I love that they've updated the roller brush so you can toggle between levels of suction. It helps get bigger stuff where the V6 and V8 struggled. It's still not perfect though for picking up larger debris as there are only two channels that adjust in size. The V10 does seem to do a better job on low pile work rugs I have in the house, compared to how the V8 performed. It's also great that you have three levels of suction force on the power unit as well. It's a nice compromise to increase suction when you need it while maintaining some battery life. They show images of using this in the car. That's fine for doing the seats and the trunk, but to get the floor boards and all the nooks and crannies in a car, a flexible hose would be great. It would only need to be a couple of feet. That'd allow you to use it a little more like a canister vac for tighter spots. I wish they'd make the wall mount either wider or offer a secondary wall storage unit for tools. When you have multiple attachments, two slots for narrow tools just doesn't cut it. Overall Dyson does a great job with its cordless vacuums and my observations are more wants because at the end of the day, this thing cleans and cleans well. As evident by the fact I have a Dyson cordless on each floor of the house and rarely use the upright anymore.

Full Size Vac Posing as a Stick

However, we have a 2 story house and find it tiring to have to carry the vac we have up and down the stairs. Also, we had wanted a hand vac for cleaning up little messes that our 2 year old makes. This is what led us to get the V10... Wow. I expected it to be powerful, but didn't really know how much so. I found out during the first true test: our 2 year old son had decided to eat a whole apple and walk around spitting the mouthfuls out all over our carpet. Using the stick with the carpet attachment set to larger debris, I was able to clean the entire mess without any further effort! Even if other vacs are able to get at apple chucks, in most cases, you'd still have to go over the area and check for leftovers, but in the case of the V10. Even though we haven't had it for long, I would definitely recommend it!

What I got, a $600 new age piece of art. This thing clogs more than any other vacuum I have ever had. Dog/cat hair - clogs the darn thing IF it even picks it up. That nifty test at Best Buy where you can vacuum up cat litter - stopped working about a week in. I just can't describe how disappointed in the quality of this product and at that price point. Do yourself a favor, buy a good broom and Shark handheld - sweep and suck.
