The convenience it has brought on my home is definitely on another level. My only issue with it would be the battery life, but its expected i suppose. Such a handy vaccum, its quite awesome.

The only thing I would wish Dyson could improve is the battery life. If you use vacuum on Boost within 15 min, it is gonna die. And it will take you 3.5 hrs to revive it again. On the second speed, I use it just fine. Definitely install the wall charger, that will save you tons of energy and nerves.. Lol

The suction on high is the only one sufficient to clean carpet. When using on high, the battery is listed to last for only 7 minutes. It takes over 3 hours to fully recharge. Even on high, then vacuum will only suck up whatever is directly in front of it. You'll have to go back and use a different attachment to do around table legs, baseboards, etc. Gets clogged every single time we use it as well. This requires manually unclogging it. The only practical use I could ever see for this is daily floor vacuuming on hard floors, using on medium power. Other than that, absultely worthless. No idea where these amazing reviews are coming from.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear of your frustration with your Dyson V10 Animal cordless machine. The V10 features 3 different power modes: suction mode 1, suction mode 2 and boost mode and, depending on the mode or combination of modes/tools used, provides up to 60 minutes of run time.
The boost mode is designed to provide a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes. Suction mode 1 and suction mode 2 are both ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks. The V10's cleanerhead also has a manual height adjustment lever to get closer to flooring or higher for thicker carpet.
The V10 machine is designed to provide strong, steady suction whenever the trigger is on and does require routine maintenance to keep it in optimal performance. This does include blockage removal and washing the filter, and depending on your cleaning tasks, you may need to perform some of the maintenance more often.

It is great for doing stairs and hard floor surfaces. I do have hardwood on the first floor so it’s nice to just grab a cordless vac to clean up. Also works great on the area rug. I have carpeted stairs going upstairs and downstairs to the basement I love having a cordless vac to be able to quick to the stairs. The only downside is the price and the charge when you have it on the highest suction the whole time lasts a half hour or little more.
