When running on minimum power settings and using no motorized accessories, it runs for 45-60 minutes. Now let's play in the real world. For the price and performance I wanted, MAX setting is outstanding...then after 5 minutes vacuum is dead. If I wanted to run this on 1 or 2, I would have bought a Shark or Hoover...I wanted the DYSON power, but for 5 minutes. NO. sorry.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review. Your Dyson Cyclone V10™ Animal comes with three different suction modes, for use with cleaning around your home. You also have a suction control slider at the cleaner head, for use when vacuuming both carpeting and hard floors. As a result, we would not expect you to require the MAX suction setting, as it is only intended for use with tough cleaning jobs.

No negatives other than the battery power life... advertised for 1 hour but that is only if used at weakest suctioning power. More like 10 minutes if you use it on max power.

A way to compact the lint for extended use and an “on” switch so you don’t have to hold the trigger. But over all great product.
