Under 60 days of infrequent use, it would no longer charge. Brought it back to the store and returned it for another one. SEcond one just stopped being able to charge also. Would not recommend this vacuum cleaner

I really satisfied with their products, but they have to improve initial quality control. First my Dyson vacuum V7 had a defect with cleaning container and I had to replace this part The second Dyson V10 had weird noise when you pull off the start button. I returned this item and going to buy Dyson from store so I can verify if the item is defective before to buy

Posted .Hello Halyna, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've had some trouble with your Dyson. I can confirm that the noise you were hearing with your V10 is normal. To generate the extra power of the Dyson digital motor V10, Dyson engineers doubled the number of magnets and stators. When the trigger is released, the motor brakes the rotor to a stop almost instantly and the magnets bounce between the four stator positions. Like a ping-pong ball bouncing on a table, they move a smaller distance each time, creating a sound which our engineers call the 'boing'. I am giving it two stars because the battery life is absolute trash! This thing works like a champ the first couple of months you own it. As time goes on with LITTLE USE by the way (even though it shouldn't matter for the price of this thing) it will start to be a designed obsolescence. If you have the money to replace a $500-800 vacuum every year and a half then you can't buy a better one. If you don't or that doesn't sound appealing then look elsewhere. Again, tough review here... the thing works like a beast. It will suck up more dirt and pet hair better than 90% of the machines out there, but if you're cool with vacuuming your living room and office room, the battery dying, then waiting 3 hours to charge it again, then go back to vacuuming multiple other rooms in the house then this is for you. Maybe the corded Dyson is a better route. Heck, maybe design this one to be cordless, BUT have the option to plug in a cord. There's a thought! Tough review... cleaning quality, maneuverability, ease of assembly are all 5-stars. I just can't get passed how terrible the battery life is. Don't tell me... WeLL dOn'T uSe tHe HiGh sUcTioN mOdE. Why do you think I purchased it in the first place???

When running on minimum power settings and using no motorized accessories, it runs for 45-60 minutes. Now let's play in the real world. For the price and performance I wanted, MAX setting is outstanding...then after 5 minutes vacuum is dead. If I wanted to run this on 1 or 2, I would have bought a Shark or Hoover...I wanted the DYSON power, but for 5 minutes. NO. sorry.

You also have a suction control slider at the cleaner head, for use when vacuuming both carpeting and hard floors. As a result, we would not expect you to require the MAX suction setting, as it is only intended for use with tough cleaning jobs.

No negatives other than the battery power life... advertised for 1 hour but that is only if used at weakest suctioning power. More like 10 minutes if you use it on max power.

A way to compact the lint for extended use and an “on” switch so you don’t have to hold the trigger. But over all great product.
