Defects and Poor Replacement Support

I submitted a warranty request to Dyson for a new unit and was told this was a common problem. It's been about 40 days and they keep telling me there is a shortage of replacements and I need to wait on shipments. Doing a web search on the unit confirms it seems to happen often, which isn't so much of an issue if it could be replaced effectively.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to learn that you've been so unhappy with your Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cord-Free vacuum. Your vacuum will have three suction modes for use with cleaning around your home. Along with three different suction modes, you will also have a suction control slider at the cleaner head for use with cleaning across both hard floors and carpet. As a result, we wouldn't expect that you'd require the MAX suction setting, as that's only really intended for use with tough cleaning jobs or larger debris. It also provides the least amount of run time.
In suction setting 2, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 20 minutes of run time with a motorized cleaner head or up to 30 minutes when used in suction setting 1. Without the motorized cleaner head, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 60 minutes of run time on a full charge, making it our longest running cordless model to date.
