Not what I thought

First of all it has three settings and if you put it in the highest setting it only last 5 minutes. Thats it! And in the lowest setting only 30 minutes! Plus the suction is not the greatest.

As a result, we would not expect you to require the MAX suction setting, as it is only intended for use with tough cleaning jobs and also provides the least amount of run time, while providing additional power for the job.
In suction setting 2, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 20 minutes of run time with a motorized cleaner head or up to 30 minutes when used in suction setting 1. Without the motorized cleaner head, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 60 minutes of run time on a full charge, making it our longest running cordless model to date. Vacuum Won’t Hold A Charge

We don’t use it that often to have this type of issue. This was the 2nd time we have had the issue with this model. We also have one at our business location and the same thing has happened. It does work well, but to have a vacuum that can’t hold a charge after less than one year is not worth the premium price we spent.

Beyond disappointing.

It worked great for a month and then stopped working. We followed all of the instructions of how to keep the filter clean and yet, it constantly stops running because of “clogged filter.” No matter how many times the filter is cleaned, it still thinks the filter is clogged after just a few minutes. Dyson has been horrible to work with as well. You would think for a $400-500 vacuum, it would work.

The battery life is horrible, 15 minutes on a tile floor and it dies. I've tried all the different settings to conserve battery life but it doesn't help. I figured spending $500.00 was a worthwhile investment since after all it's a "Dyson". The machine works great but battery longevity it's horrible! Save your money.

Good for a while..

We bought this about 2.5 years ago. After about a year, the filter would not register even after cleaning according to the manual. We had to buy a new filter. Today the battery died completely and will no longer hold a charge. Considering this is a $500 vacuum, I would have expected a much better longevity from a high end brand like Dyson. Unfortunately, it seems like Dyson has taken the road that everyone else has. Make it to break and not to fix.

Not worth it!

This was a warranty replacement of the first one. (that should tell you something). I doesn't hold a charge for more than 40 minutes (on a good day). When it does work it is good. Hard to clean too.

My Dyson V10 motor head piece is broken HELP!!!!

Lives up to the Dyson Brand

Dyson is powerful and does the job. The Dyson V10 Stick is no exception to that and lives up to the Dyson brand. As I'm starting to go through "empty nest" time, I don't have the foot traffic I used to and needed my corded canister for. With this, I don't need to haul that out unless I want to do a deep cleaning. I didn't get 60 minutes of cleaning time but more on the order of about 45 minutes and it takes about 3 1/2 hours to charge. It's more than enough time for what I do. The suction power, while not as good as my canister is certainly enough for the day to day cleaning. It handles cat hair just fine as well. It's lightweight which is a great plus and converts to a hand-held easily. I love how easy it is to empty the bin as well as the fact that there is not "cloud of dust" when you empty it. It is just shoot and go. Yes, I love Dysons and this vacuum shows why.

We recommend switching to a lower suction mode if MAX mode provides too much suction. We also recommend using MAX mode for those tougher jobs and not for every situation due to the shorter run time you get while in that mode.

This is horrible at picking up cat food. I purchased this primarily for vacuuming wool area rugs and occasionalcat food mess. The garbage compartment gets blocked every single time i use it. It's so frustrating to have to remove the stick in order to empty the garbage compartment. And dont get me started on the ,"hold" trigger. You must squeeze the trigger at all time for function. The " boost" mode is so loud my neighbors can hear it! All of the above for the price?

Pieces are difficult to take off and I only get about 30 minutes per charge. I hope their next model is improved. I've had Dyson's forever. This one is a huge disappointment.

Charged it, used it twice and the battery would not charge. Gave me a error flashing red light. I called support and had to mail it to dyson. Once they received the vacuum, I was sent a replacement. I charged it overnight. I have had it one day and it is not picking stuff up on the floor. I am using it on tile and wood in the kitchen and dining area and have to go over it 3-4 times to get the floor clean. It took me forever to have it pick up a piece of onion skin!
