I have two Siberian Huskies who blow their coats twice a year for 6 months each time. Fur is an actual condiment in this house. These dogs spawn little fur wolves everywhere and the cats live in mortal terror of being eaten by said spawn. For 6 years, I have been on an epic hunt for a vacuum that does not have a stroke when it sees husky fur. This was my first foray into the land of Dysons and I am sorry to report this vacuum didn’t last five minutes before giving up the fight, clogging up in multiple areas, and emitting high pitched screams of apparent agony. I gave it a few more tries over a week or so, but the end result is epic failure. If you have a normal dog, this vacuum might do. If you have huskies, just move along and keep searching, my brothers and sisters in Fur Hell.

Overall it works well for vacuuming dog hair on hardwood floors. Doesn’t scratch floors like other models. Top suction power only lasts about 15 minutes which is annoying. Not that easy to disconnect parts and it would be nice it there was a light to see under furniture and having to hold the power switch on is tiring. Doesn’t work very well on Persian area rug. Works well on the dog bed.

Great vaccume but kno where to keep the attachments unless you buy something

junk - not worth the money... info - purchased 2020. not abused. a year ago, would stop while in use. said filter was clogged. not the case, does the same thing when new filter is installed. dyson wont help at all saying it's out of warranty and that one of their service centers can help… sure another couple hundred dollars will help anything…. Will never purchase dyson again… junk esp the cordless

This super amazing piece of machine I highly recommend. Super performance, super design, most durable. After 3 years of use it still looks brand new and perform as day 1 too. If you need vacuum cleaner go with this only.

I love love love this machine. I have 6 cats, live in the woods, and have bugs. It also fits perfectly under cabinets. It’s totally and utterly fabulous!

I had replaced my amazing 10 year old Animal upright (w/o ball) because this seemed like it would be easier to use. The suction was not as good as the upright but I did not mind as much. Two years, three months later....my Dyson stopped working. It is out of warranty, because the warranty expired at two years. Honestly I loved the fact that I could vacuum my car without the hassle of fiddling with cords. I also liked the fact that I could vacuum my house without having to switch the cord from one outlet to the next. This vacuum is cheaply made. Dyson is definitely has gone downhill as far as quality goes.

Not quite as smooth along the hard wood as I thought but a quality product that I love using. Worth the price.

Vacuuming has always been a chore…until now! I actually enjoy vacuuming now and my house feels so clean. It’s definitely worth the price tag.

Garbage, filter clogs, parts break way too easily. Not meant to last.

Broke within 2-3 years. Would be fine if it was cheap but a $400 vacuum should last much longer

It's great until it dies. Get the extended warranty. That the only way it's worth the money.

This vacuum had issues since day one. It powers on and off and then turns off. Dyson replaced the battery under warranty, which did not fix the problem. Now I am stuck with a $400 piece of plastic that doesn't work. LAST DYSON PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY

The term "digital motor" appears to have been invented by Dyson for marketing purposes. The fundamental principal is the same as for all other electromagnetic motors. The specific type of motor used by Dyson has permanent magnets in the rotor and is called a brushless DC motor or a permanent-magnet synchronous motor. So there is no such thing as a digital Motor.

Decent vacuum but not worth the price tag, small compartment for dirt storage, mediocre suction. Good for small touch up work or a small apartment but not sufficient to have as an only option

This thing is a piece of junk. I’ve had it for about 6-9 months. Clogs all the time. Battery life is short. Doesn’t pick even the smallest piece of leaf. The whole machine is cheap plastic. The parts stick and are so hard to pull apart to change heads that my wife can’t use it. The paddle to open and discharge waste is so hard to operate I have to use all my strength to get it open. And then it slams open, scattering all the dirt all over the floor. Guess what, the plastic tank now has cracks at the hing. When that goes, you can bet they will charge me an arm and leg to replace it. This was a major purchase for us... $600. I’ve been out of work for just a little short of the length of time we’ve had this piece of junk. I finally went out to the garage and got our old canister which still works like it did when we decided to replace it, and yet, it still does a much better job. Don’t buy this, don’t buy this, DON’T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP. I’m going to post this review in as many places as I can to warn others about it!

Battery last 15 minutes. The unit is brand new. I have to use a minimum of 50 characters so there you go.

I had my dyson for roughly 7 months when I started having problems with it. Their customer service has been stringing me out for the past 4 months now. Try this, try that. Nothing works. They say they're going to send a replacement part. I've never gotten it (since early December). They finally agreed to send a replacement machine. Oops.... on backorder. Not sure when they're going to be able to replace it. And oh, by the way. Original warranty end date is still the same even though I haven't been able to use my machine for 4 months and counting. Next time I'll buy a Bissel!
