It is the best at picking up pet fur off of my furniture. I love the convenience of a stick vacuum. It is easy to just grab and go. However, I have developed horrible wrist pain from using this vacuum.... to the point that I am wearing a wrist brace!! It is horrible!! I wouldn’t recommend this vacuum for petite or older people, or anyone with joint/ arthritis for this reason. I am a young, healthy petite person and this vacuum is brutal on my wrists.

Needs design improvement - clogs too easily

But after about a month, it began signalling it was clogged. We routinely cleaned the filters and we learned how to unclog all nooks and crannies - even small bits would clog it. After about only 10 weeks of quite light usage, we could not clear the code, and called Dyson for help. They had some suggestions, but ended up advising us to return it to them. They sent us a used replacement one quite promptly, but it too has the same problem, though we’ve been able to clear its clogs. It is now 14 weeks since purchase and they notified us they are sending us a new replacement one. We are crossing our fingers that they’ve made a design improvement. I wanted so much to love this product but I now regret purchasing it. Dyson’s customer service has been very good though.

Our cordless models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, hygienic bin emptying, and a variety of tools and attachments to tackle varying cleaning tasks.
It is very unusual to hear that your machine is clogging regularly in your everyday use. That being said, frequent obstructions in your machine may occur as a result of poor airflow, which can happen due to an existing obstruction or dirty filters. I am happy to let you know that most blockages are simple to remove and we find that most problems may be resolved through simple, yet effective troubleshooting at home.

However it’s attachments don’t work with the other and vice versa. And maybe my imagination but it doesn’t seem as strong when used for surfaces other than the floor. I vacuumed my bed room rug with the old one and then with the new one and was amazed at how much hidden dirt it picked up from that rug!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally invested in a fancy vacuum, and there’s a lot of pros to my new investment: picks up stuff from every surface that most vacuums miss or kick back - the amount of stuff that comes out of a carpet or rug after upgrading to this is unbelievable. It has no wheels, which is a blessing for homes with long haired humans or pets, nothing gets stuck, jammed, broken, or tangled. Cons: I have a weird issue getting the canister to separate from the stick sometimes, and the battery life is atrocious when you are using it full power (why would you opt for less though if you didn’t have to?). Battery takes 3.5 HOURS to recharge... which is rough if you are half finished cleaning and it dies.
