A great vacuum. Great quality, the three available modes, the fact that it's cordless and the different attachments make this a very practical and useful product. The attachments are somewhat fragile so consider that when using the vacuum near walls, furniture, etc. Only issue so far, is the difficulty in cleaning the bin. Unless you rinse it (which you don't do after every use), it's very difficult to get all the remaining dirt out of the bin. Overall, very please with this Dyson.

Good purchase. Great suction, cordless, lightweight. Only thing thing that could make it better would be if it came with someone to use it.

This Dyson was a gift for my son. He and his wife are very happy with it. In a home with two working parents, two kids & a dog; this V10 is a great help. Not only does it clean carpet, hardwood & tile very well, it is easy to store (no cords). They are amazed at how much dirt it still pulls from carpets after a few weeks that the old vacuum missed. Dyson is worth the price!

1st Dyson bought and this will be the only brand of vacuum cleaner we get in the future. We own a Miele as well but never use it anymore. Even though the battery life is very short on the highest setting, with all the attachments and convenience of not having to buy bags or filters, nothing compares.

We've been using Dyson vacuums for over 13 years, starting with a DC07, and currently using a Ball Multi-floor upright. We've tried others along the way, and always ended back with a Dyson for their design and usability. We also have used a lot of different stick vacuums, mainly just cheaper, corded vacs. The first Dyson stick vacuums looked nice and being cordless was a great plus, but we never got one of those because of the lower run times. The most recent Dyson stick vacuums have batteries that are better for overall available time, with this one having up to 60 minutes (Suction Mode 1 and no powered roller attachments), and up to 35 with the powered roller attachments on Suction Mode 1. They also have a straight-path design, which has increased the suction over the V7 and V8. This model comes a powered torque drive cleaner head for carpets/rugs, soft roller cleaner head for hard floors, a mini motor tools for smaller areas (stairs, etc.), crevice tool, soft brushing tool and a combination tool. There are 3 suction modes: 1, 2 and Max. Max really does mean Max on this, as it really kicks it quite a bit up over Mode 2, to let you pick up the tougher to get items. The charging docking station is easy to install, and has locations to store two attachments. The first time we used it, we tried on Suction Mode 2 (a little stronger), using the soft roller cleaner head for about 12-13 minutes on hardwood and tile, then the torque drive cleaner head on our rugs and carpets, which over all, we got about 30 minutes of usage before needing to recharge. Unfortunately, that didn't quite get through the whole house, but was able to get to about 66% of the target floor area (in a 3500+ SF house). Probably going forward, we'll use Mode 1 for most of the cleaning with it. I will say it lives up to being a Dyson and does a very good job of picking up all of the dirt, debris and cat fur (from our 3 cats) with not much struggle. However, for the soft roller head, it does seem to push around larger debris without sucking it up when pulling back towards it, but that is because of the design with a small soft roller in the back that stay in contact with the floor to move easier without damage to the floor, so just make sure to approach those from the front other head. In the amount of time it did run, the bin did fill to the Max line. It works well on all for carpets, rugs and hard floors (hard wood and tile in our case). It is actually easier to use on our rugs than our other vacuum. The way it is set up to empty the bin is nice, but I found the first time it didn't want to release the door with out a little help, but the other times it has gotten better. It is also easy to maneuver using either roller head, almost too easy at first (almost hard to keep it in the path you want), but easy to control once you are used to it. It also gets under furniture very easily with the thinner extension tube. For smaller areas (stairs or vehicle), or just a very quick cleanup, you can remove the tube and insert any of the attachments directly to the motor head. My main issue is the sound it produces, which gets worse on the higher modes. There is a higher-pitched sound, which unfortunately I am sensitive to. Also, I almost don't care for having to use a trigger to run the vacuum (most other brands have a on/off switch). But, the way it sits in your hand while vacuuming, you don't really need to squeeze too much to keep it running. This probably won't be a the only vacuum to use for larger house, but will work for quick cleans in between (unless you don't mind waiting the 3.5 hours to recharge and continue). Oh, and it also works well for a quick cleanup after one of your cats knocks off and breaks/semi-shatters a decorative statue…
