I like the cordless idea;however, the battery runs out before I can get the downstairs and upstairs completely vacuumed. That’s frustrating.

The Dyson V10 Animal Pro cord-free vacuum has elevated my already high expectation of Dyson products. As a long time user of Dyson products, both in the traditional stand-up and with a V8 cordless, I already expected something great. I was not disappointed. The V10 ships with all the accessories you could want – powered carpet and hardwood heads and a whole slew of other typical attachments for corners, upholstery, etc. The box claims a max of 60 minutes run time, dependent of course on the attachment being used. The carpet (torque drive) head contains a motor and reduces run time by about half. You can expect more run time with the various other attachments. Suction power on high is out of this world. It has the ability to adjust with 3 different performance modes – with level 1 allowing me to vacuum a rug, while level 3 would practical suck the rug into oblivion. The charging dock is a little different than previous models, but functions just as easily. I mounted mine in the garage by the door and it’s been fantastic. The only con I could share has to do with the weight. Although I don’t have too many issues with it, and I vary rarely lift it over my head, the unit is relatively heavy for single handed use. It takes a few uses to avoid any hand fatigue and it hasn’t really been a problem for me. However, after giving my V8 to my mother she did mention that she found it to be a bit difficult to manage. I do believe the v10 is about the same weight, if not just a slight bit heavier.
