|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had an older Dyson upright vacuum that we used with no issues for years ( bought it when Circuit City was going out of business, so that shows you how old it is) and it has now been passed down to our daughter who continues to use it so when I got the opportunity to get this new cordless model it was a no brainer to get it. As usual with a Dyson the packaging was very well thought out and the directions for use were clear however some of the pictures were not so clear for the operation. With all the attachments there could be better instructions on how they all function. There are a myriad of attachments to use on the stalk and head unit. All very well thought out and very functional but we did have to buy a tote to put them all in as there is no provision to mount any of them to the head unit. If you use the attachment for carpet on the max suction setting it can actually be hard to move around because of the massive amount of suction so we use it on the 2nd setting and it works fine, this also reduces the operational sound considerably. Have not tested the length of battery life but if Dyson says it will go 60 minutes I believe them. It is great not having to have a cord follow you around and worry about it coming unplugged. Dust cup is easy to empty and it scrapes out all the debris quite well. As with all Dyson machines the amount of suction is outstanding and it picks up a lot. We have not using the wall mounted charging stand as in our situation it will stand too far off the wall but it does lean against the wall well and is steady if it is just plugged in. The main reason for not giving it 5 stars is that there is no trigger lock for power so you have to continually hold the power button in the on position and that gets very fatiguing on your hand after a while. For a vacuum that costs this much and with as much thought as Dyson puts into their equipment this is a major downfall to the machine. Otherwise it is a great unit and I am expecting to get many years of use out of it as I did with my old Dyson

In suction setting 2 Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 20 minutes of run time with a motorized cleaner head or up to 30 minutes when used in suction setting 1. Without the motorized cleaner head, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 60 minutes of run time on a full charge, making it our longest running cordless model to date. Average vacuum cleaner

Although a cordless vacuum cleaner is nice to use, this Dyson has a finger switch that must be held down use the vacuum is in use. Also, the suction is lower than on my Shark. I am disappointed by this Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Dyson is the King of Vacuum Cleaners.

We have hardwood floors, a lot of throw rugs of varying sizes and thicknesses, two dogs, two cats, and five kids. My vacuums need to be built well if they are going to last around here. I can't have it blowing up because it got too much animal hair or a lego in it for instance. I went with the Dyson V10 animal because of their reputation for quality. Luckily the Dyson has lived up to its reputation, and then some. It has very powerful suction, it's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and also very durable as of this writing. The only thing I can think to mention as a possible negative would be for people with large houses. The vacuum is obviously battery powered so if you have a large house you may find yourself doing one floor, charging, and then doing the other. It really depends on how thorough you want to be. It is fine for my 1000 sq ft home. Charging is also super easy with the cradle. For me this is an excellent product worth a five star review. If it can do well in my house it will work well for you too.

When it arrived, it was an open box item with dust and light dirt in the vacuum. Customer service sent a replacement. The second one was also an open box with the same issue. Customer service said there was nothing they could do after the second one, so I sent it back. Best Buy is selling used items as “New items.” I was always a huge supporter of BB (elite plus member). Not anymore!

Battery life is a disappointment

I purchased my vacuum in October of 2020, it's now December 2021 and i need to replace the battery. Since there is only a 1 year warranty I'm going to have to purchase out of pocket. Very disappointed

I hope it’s a new motor head. We shall see and I will update my review accordingly

Dyson cordless vacuum. Disappointing!

I spent more money than I normally would on this vacuum. It really doesn't clean that well and the battery goes dead before I get done with 2 average sized rooms. Unhappy with Price Matching Policy

The restrictions in effect limit their price matching to only Best Buy-sold versions of the product. I will not buy products from Best Buy in the future.
