I love this vaccuum! this is my second dyson! I had to get this one because I have 4 cats and 1 dog and it really sucks up the pet hair! wonderful vaccuum

I love the suction power of this machine. The only drawback is the wand. However, most of the usage is without the wand. Do wish they'd improve the wand on an otherwise great vacuum.

So, unlike others, when we broke the DC28 out of the box, it didn't immediately fill up the bin and require 42 dumps. Most of all, this is a compliment to Dyson as our 6 year old DC07 was still holding up and pulling its weight, but it was time to put Ol Yeller out to pasture. The new DC28 did seek out and pull up a grip of fine dirt almost silt like that must have been laying deep in the carpet. When you put it on the "deep pile" setting, the vacuum almost pulls you along gripping deep onto the threads and sucking every last ounce of dirt loose from your floor. Problem there is that as that "airmuscle" technology is pulling you it actually requires a little personal muscle on your part to guide it around where you want it to go. I'm sure Dyson will be throwing their "ball" technology onto this soon. Could be the power and forward force created a bit of a safety hazard when putting it on their ball. I'm sure their inventing something to just keep making better vacuums. Overall, this vacuum is amazing. If power is what you're looking for, look nowhere else. The only comparison I could make is to a shop-vac but designed for your living room.

We've owned the Dyson Animal DC28 for about 4 years now and I still absolutely love it. It is an incredible machine, hasn't broken (knock on wood), continues to handle my children using it, and still maintains its suction like it was new.

Great on pet hair and very easy to empty....a lil heavy but worth it

I had a dyson in the past and loved it but I had always longed to own a Kirby that did everything: shampoo carpets etc. When I finally could afford it, I bought a $1200 Kirby and hated it from day one. Bags were hard to put on, after a while it got stinkly. Bags were also expensive. And forget about shampooing. It was just too complicated. I went to Best Buy and saw the new dysons and purchased it right away. Now I'm happy and my husband loves to use the dyson so It's a win-win situation. He uses it almost every day which gives me great joy. Less that I have to do.

I live with three big furry dogs, a cat and a rabbit. Needless to say we have LOTS of fur on our rugs and furniture and this vacuum picks every bit of it up. I knew when I bought this that it would be spectacular since I already own a Dyson DC17 that I retired to the basement floors after eight years of use. The attachments are wonderful and work so well. Also purchased the allergy kit for the dusting attachment. EXCELLENT! There are only two drawbacks that I have found so far. The first is the location of the cord keeper that is on the removable handle. So if I only want to use the hose to clean the couch I have to take off the entire cord to do so. Second it is much louder then the DC17. Not a problem for me just the animals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WORTH THE MONEY!

I was totally grossed out by the amount of pet hair, dust and god knows what else came out of my carpet after one use of this vacuum. I was reluctant to spend the $ but figured this would be an investment--sure paid off! I was shocked to see how powerful the suction on this machine was. I had vacuumed my living room a few hours before making this purchase, when I used the Dyson later in the day I could not believe what I saw! This machine was easy to assemble (took about 10 minutes). I like the many features of the vaccum, including the long cord and hose. I used a few different settings and each worked just fine. We have a beagle who sheds A LOT and this really did the trick! At this point, I have no concerns or complaints!

A few years ago I purchased a Hover because consumer Reports rated it higher that a Dyson but the attachments never worked. The Dyson works very well and the attachments work. My daughter has the same model and had been happy with it also.

We have 3 Saint Bernards, 2 cats and a terrier mix; needless to say it can get pretty HAIRY! We were burdened with hair everywhere but the Dyson Animal is easy to use and great at getting the hair, dust and dander all sucked up. We dump it frequently and the only thing I wish is that the hair wouldn't wind up around the roller so fast! If only it didn't get stuck there! No worries! It is wonderful and well worth the cost (plus I got it on sale and used my reward points for a gift certificate towards its purchase!).

This is my second dyson vac. I love it. The first one I owned for 7 yrs and it is still in use today by my ex..... who got it in our separation. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a clean carpet.

Wonderful vacuum, couldn't be happier. This is my second vacumm from Dyson and have always been satisfied. Bought this one for where my cats like to sleep and it has made my carpets fell almost new again after use.

This is my second Dyson vacuum, I previously owned a DC14 and upgraded this past weeken to the DC28 and it is amazing. I had my previous vacuum for 4 years and it never lost suction. Buy this item is s well worth the money.

we had an older dyson animal that lasted 7 years and went through a house fire, and still worked. there was no way we would settle for less. this one is even better. it pulls from deeper and make your carpet stand up.

We've had an Oreck for years and decided it was time for a change. With two cats and small boys, I needed something to get not only carpets, but furniture and stairs clean as well. Did lots of research and decided this vacuum was the best fit for us. I will say that after using an Oreck for years, the Dyson is way heavier, but I'm not saying that is a negative. I love that fact that when I vacuum the carpets, I can see the vacuum marks! That's how much suction the Dyson has! My husband used our Oreck the day before I used the Dyson and after using the Dyson, the results were in the canister! Yucck! It's truly unbelievable what was still lingering in the carpets. Cannot compare the vacuums! Dyson wins hands down.

This is our first Dyson. It has great suction. Really pulls up the pile. Only issue would be it is fairly hard to push. But this is a function of the power. Overall a great machine

This is the best vacuum I have owned. It works well on all floors and also on steps. I have dogs and it did a great job of picking up the hair.

I love this product. Easy as 1-2-3 to use the attachments. The bottom dump bag less makes it mess free. It even cleans hard floor pretty good.

The vacuum was a gift so I can't really say great for the price, but it is the easiest to use vacuum I've had. It also does a great job.

This is my second Dyson. The first one lasted 7 years after my husband used it as a wet dry vac a few times. So in my opinion very durable!i it still works. The only reason we bought a new one was because of the great deal! That being said this delivers on its promise to be "Air Muscle". 4 different floor depths to choose from. Accessories clip into place so they aren't as easy to lose and the attachments are easily accessible. Love this vacuum!
