The majority of my house is hardwood flooring but this vacuum is as strong on my area rugs as my corded vacuum. It's easy to maneuver, easy to empty, and holds more than enough charge for me to handle any clean up.

Posted .Dyson DC44 Origin cordless vacuum starts strong and stays strong and the trigger releases instantly so battery power isn’t wasted between cleaning tasks providing up to 16 minutes of powerful fade-free suction. It is likely you had the machine set on the boost/max mode which increases suction power and decreases battery life to 6 minutes. This max mode is only for rare very tough cleans. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light and very maneuverable. Dust bin/cup empties extremely easily (and much neater than most others). Great at picking up dust. Anything else, however, you will need your broom or regular vacuum. This was very disappointing to me. It was unable to pick up bits of very thin glass (from a broken Christmas ornament) or bits of dry food. Handy enough, but a steep price tag for dust alone. I would like to mention that my previous stick vac was the Electrolux Ergorapido - while it was good at picking up, it was a very awkward design, which allowed most of the stuff you just sucked up back out on the floor before you could reach the trash bin to empty it. The battery on that one only lasted about two years, with minimal usage. Hoping for better longevity with this Dyson.
