I was dubious about the power and battery life, but it easily cleans my 1800 sq ft home with one and a half batteries (it comes with two, so one can always be charging). The laser used on the bare floors is horrifying only because it shows how dirty my floors are. It’s easy to use it as a guide to clean. The suction is truly amazing. Most advanced in a Dyson since I’ve owned them. The screw tool for pet hair isn’t the most powerful, but still useful. Last, it’s a bit heavy, but manageable.

It’s so much more powerful than my old Dyson Outsize Absolute! I LOVE that you don’t have to press and hold on a trigger to power on the vacuum, that’s used to be a pain in the butt! This has the power button now, and I love that it tells you how many of the germs and particles you pick up!! Powerful, battery lasts longer, and I can’t say enough good things about this!!

Excellent cordless vacuum..has extra battery each 70 minutes running time, just slightly heavy do to larger dust bin..would of like more accessories and stand for high price.. and would of like 5yr warranty like they have on there corded vacuum. but I am happy with performance.

The new Gen5 Outsize is amazing - 2 batteries, quiet, large wastebin but not overly heavy! No more holding that trigger down too - thank goodness. The vacumn lasts for a long time (i havent used a full battery yet) and the storage bin doesnt need changing as it feels like twice the size of the old one. Recommended upgrade if you have anything below a v15.

Outstanding. Nothing really compares w a Dyson. You may have issues with the price-ITS A LOT!! That being said, it beats all competitors in every respect: power, battery, durability, ease of use. Yes, you can get a Shark for under $500, and the comparable Dyson is more than $1200, it is worth it.

The suction on this vacuum is amazing. You can see just how much by vacuuming. We have 3 dogs and it always picks up a ton on carpet. The only downfall would be how cheap or weak the actual vacuum head seems. I feel like we could easily break the head on accident. If the head seemed stronger I’d give it 5 stars. We had the Dyson animal ball last and this performs better.

The gen 5detect is easy to assemble. It is suggested prior to use to allow the Dyson to fully charge. Once fully charged I was amazed how quiet the gen 5 is when in use. The vacuum heads are a little smaller than I imagined they would be. But that also makes it the most maneuverable vacuum I've ever used. The laser cleaner head is the one attachment I was most interested in. I thought it was more of a gimmick than anything else. But it works as advertised, best used in low light. I was really impressed by the variable speed of the vacuum in auto mode. As it encounters more dirt, the power of the vacuum increase to meet the workload. The gen 5 can count the particles collected. This is my least favorite feature. I could care less the number or size of the particles as long as they are removed efficiently. The gen 5 detect comes with a myriad of accessories that are easy to attach or remove. The bottom line is I'm very impressed with my first Dyson, I'm a Dyson customer for life now.

1. After using vacuums with cords for so many years, this is a very useful upgrade. Before having the move the plug from outlet to outlet made using the vacuum annoying, now I use it all over the house on a single battery. 2. Compared to other vacuums, it does collect for dust and debris as advertised; making your house a healthier environment. 3. One concern it it does seem a but delicate so I have to be more careful. 4. The light feature is a game changer as it does show what was being missed with previous cleaning methods. Moreover, when you use it on a daily basis, you can see how much dust actually accumulates in your house. 5. I wish there was a way to see batter percentage when the battery was not plugged in the charger; I understand the time remaining provides that info, but seeing the battery percentage would also be useful.

Works great, purchase another brand and as not nearly as great as this one. The power is excellent, I'm confident i am picking up all dirt.

I love my Dyson vacuum, this is my 3rd cordless Dyson vacuum they just keep getting better. The only complaint is the attachment area within a few months of purchase it became loose and it did loose suction. I wish Dyson would fix this problem.

Excellent vacuum very powerful light and it holds a charge forever

This vacuum cleaner is an absolute gem! Compact, powerful, and incredibly easy to use. It handles even hard-to-reach places and picks up dust down to the tiniest particles. Easy to clean, runs quietly, and saves time. Cleaning has truly become a pleasure!

I ended up not using this as my v15 just needed a new filter, but Dyson is the best on the market and in my opinion is worth every penny you spend on it.

Easy to use and operate, not only in house but also very effect in cleaning one's car also. Best vacuum I have ever used to date bar none.

It’s an awesome vacuum, but it’s too big for me. Too heavy and pokey. My arm gets tired just sweeping with it. Other than that it’s got great suction. I just don’t have the strength to move it around if I want that I’ll just use the full-size vacuum.

It doesn’t get any better than the Dyson vacuum cleaner. I give it a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10

Works great for pet hair. Has great suction power and easy to clean out, is on the heavier side but beats using the heavy corded dyson ball vacuum

This vacuum cleaner was ready to go out of the box and works like a champ! Going from upright to handheld and emptying the canister is seamless. It has plenty of power and the necessary accessories to get the job done. Also, the included extra battery is a nice bonus to extend cleaning when necessary. All in all, it’s a great product and I highly recommend it.
