    My Dyson HP04 air purifier filter needed replacement. The original filter was a 4 piece, 2 layer design. This updated design combines both layers. Dyson claims it is more efficient than the previous design. The carbon filter does have a larger surface area now, so they're likely right. My son is asthmatic, so I will continue to purchase these Dyson products as they do offer some relief to him.
