This update filter replacement is easier to change but the filter and charcoal combined version seem to be as big as just the filter portion of the old style.

I love my Dyson and the filters. It is so quiet. Doesn't take much room.

Works as advertised. Slightly fiddly to install but not enough to merit less than 5 stars. Expensive, because Dyson. But we're getting months of service out of each filter so that helps.

This filter is better than the old filter that came in as a two separate Hepa and carbon filters that had restricted airflow. The new filter provides better airflow.

After I figured out it replaced the outer case and filter it took 60 seconds. Works well and keeps room cool and purified with hepa filter.

I seems ok but my machine makes a different sound now that I put this replacement in. It isn't really loud but I notice it. It hasn't been in that long so I do not know if it last as long as the original one.

Dyson quality per usual. Just remember that this replaces the 2 part filtration system when it's time for you to replace yours!

This new version of the filters combines both the outer and inner filters that used to be separate. This makes Changing filters quicker with less chance of mess.

The older generation filters had a separate carbon filter. The performance difference is actually pretty large when removing VOC's from the air. Dyson decided to cheap out on the Carbon by doing a carbon spray on the filters, which is a much cheaper process. But by doing this, the carbon does not last as long, and is less effective. If they cut costs here, they should of made the filters a bit cheaper. But charging the same as before for a inferior product is poor taste on Dysons part. Unfortunately though, we are in their eco system and we need to keep purchasing their filters. I wish they would of kept the older ones to purchase.

Dyson is the best hands down! I won’t risk buying off label products to avoid causing damage to my Dyson machines which cost me a pretty penny.

Itz made by Dyson and I swear by Dyson products. However, salesman gave me the wrong one, even after looking the item up on his fon. Returned.

Great product and filter! You can really tell the difference when we have this going. Love that you have the option to rotate between 0, 45,90,180, and 350 degrees

Needed a Dyson TP7A air filter. I was very surprised that Best Buy actually carried them and at a great price.

Bought this since I needed a new filter for my dyson. Love how its all toger as one piece instead of multiple layers like the older versions.

My original filter was discontinued so the dyson rep told me the new filter will work. Its a bit if a tight tight fit but it works.
