would not recommend for a place with no heater

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for a shed that has a livingroom and it was not the best.If it is a room that is cool and that does not have a ac unit i would not recommend i tried this in my room that was nice and cool already and it took that air in and made it a littler more warmer and in my shed with no ac unit it just made cool air come out of my heater.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson HP01 Pure Hot+Cool purifier. The Dyson HP01 is a fan heater, and does not have A/C capabilities. Unlike an A/C unit that refrigerates the air it outputs, the HP01 is a cooling fan that works by moving air over and around you.
The HP01 does have a heater ability, and will work to heat the room to the target temperature provided, aiding in warming the area.

An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to read your review and learn how disappointed you are in your Dyson Pure Hot + Cool air purifier and fan. Dyson Pure Hot + Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

Fancy looking but not worth it.

We took into consideration of it being small so we knew it wasn’t going to be AC or Huge Fan status but even then at its highest, you don’t feel much. heater works great though.

Posted .Hello Arellano, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. Our air multiplier line, unlike an AC unit that is designed to chill the air, consists of blade-less fans. The air temperature does not change while in cool mode; it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control. You can select a target room temperature while in heat mode, however.
