Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to read your review and learn how disappointed you are in your Dyson Pure Hot + Cool air purifier. Dyson Pure Hot + Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings. The adjustable airflow settings ranging from 1-10, and an oscillation range of 180 degrees, which helps project purified air around the whole room.

I can confirm that if you are using your machine in heat mode, and the target room temperature is met, your machine will go into standby mode, until the room temperature again drops below your set target. Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control.

Our air multiplier line, unlike an AC unit that is designed to chill the air, consists of blade-less fans. The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control. When using your machine in heat mode, you would have the option to control the temperature, and set a target room temperature.
