Unfortunately had to return it because it didn’t throw enough air out and it was not cold enough. Sure this is not an air conditioner, but the air itself wasn’t any colder than a regular fan. The heater did work well. It might work for you, but not for what me. Give it a try anyway, as it’s well built and Dyson is a great brand.

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. When used in heat mode, you can set a target temperature for you room, whereas in cool mode, you can choose from airflow speeds from 1-10. The heater had been working great but today it started making a high pitch squealing sound and clicking when it locked in place. Now I’m stuck with a $500 product that didn’t even last a month. Do yourself a favor and pick something else.
