I already own several Dyson products and I am a fan of their products. I got this Item for $330 on a deal of the day price. The box came damaged which I don’t blame Best Buy for that. After a couple days though it started making a clicking noise at the end of each Oscillation. The in the night you can’t see the the buttons on the remote. I thought this model would turn on and adjust automatically due to air quality and that’s not the case with this one. I love Dyson products but even if it wasn’t making a clicking noise it still is hard to even justify 330 never mind 500. I didn’t get to try the heater mode but I assumed it works and that’s how I justify paying so much for this fan. But due to the clicking noise in the other inconveniences it’s not worth $330 to me. At that point I might as well spend another 300 and get the new model and not one that’s five years old. Needless to say I will be returning this.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson purifying Hot + Cool fans feature a 360 degree HEPA filter which is designed to draw in air from all around the machine. As a result, Dyson Pure Hot + Cool can be used to purify the air in a room of any size. The bigger the room, the longer the unit will essentially take to purify. The filter included in the machine has been engineered to automatically remove 99.97% of pollutants and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. This will include things like mold, bacteria, odors, pollen, pet dander and potentially harmful ultrafine particles. In regards to your machine not feeling strong, I'm happy to confirm that Dyson Pure Hot + Cool is engineered to operate with Dyson Air Multiplier technology. This helps provide a powerful stream of smooth air. You will also have an air flow control which will increase the speed of the air expelled from the machine. This can be adjusted with the remote control or also remotely via the Dyson Link app. You will have power settings ranging from 1-10.

We ended up returning cause we actually needed a air conditioner. We bought this hoping the "cooling" part would actually be cool. ITS NOT!!!! The fact it's a fan is what makes it a "cooler" so take that for what it is.

It worked OK as a heater but offers next to nothing in regards to cooling. Expensive item for offering just heat.

The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
