Okay. This is by far the most powerful stick vac I’ve ever owned. On carpet, on the medium (Auto) setting, this rivals my standard plug-in Dyson for suction and cleaning. I can feel it actually pulling into the pile, almost bogging down, because the suction is so good. And now that the dirt collection compartment is so large, for the size of the carpeted area in my home, the Outsize+ does the job. Amazing. Is it time for me to just have this one vacuum? Hmmm, we shall see. There are a few things I’d like to point out. Not necessarily “cons,’ but things that I want you to be aware of — The main body of the vacuum with battery installed is heavier than any other stick vac I’ve owned…about two pounds heavier than my previous favorite. This really only comes into play when you are using the single dust/brush/crevice heads, along with what they call the “hair screw” for getting pet hair off of upholstery (an amazing tool). This is when you have to deal a bit more with the added weight. When you’re standing, doing regular vacuuming of carpet or hard floors, I don’t think the weight is an issue. The dirt canister, which Dyson says is 150% larger than its previous model, is a time-saving upgrade. You can clean so much more between dumps. BTW, in their own operational videos, it shows the nice lady dumping the contents into an indoor trash can. I recommend you do this outdoors — or maybe you have a room off by itself — because the dust will be an issue. The process of dumping the contents also seems a bit “unpolished,” as in…I wonder how long this will last. The sliding of the extraction lever just doesn’t seem as rugged and smooth as I’d expect from Dyson. This being said — it works, and it works well. Just be ready for a dust cloud. The head meant specifically for hard floors has an impressive feature that Dyson has added. It has a green laser fan-shaped headlight beam which really shows you the particles that this vacuum is about to consume. If your floors are darker in color, this is a blessing; an ingenious idea. On the back of the main body, facing you, is an informational LED display letting you know what power setting you’ve chosen, as well as the current battery’s percentage of power left — all depending upon what you’re doing. I tend to use the middle (Auto) setting the most. You can go from carpet to hard floors without worry about changing your power setting. The Outsize+ does it for you — and you can instantly see the change in battery power left when you go from one floor style to the next. Pretty incredible. To make this vacuum perfect (at least for me;-), I would incorporate a power switch that didn’t have to be held in, like their current power trigger. Sometimes, it’s nice to go from one hand to another without missing a beat when you want to give one arm a rest. I realize that others may like the current setup, and Dyson may actually see it as a safety issue, but still… Also, especially now that the main body is greater in size and can hold so much more, if it had a separate hose attachment (maybe 8 ft?), and the aforementioned static on/off switch, there are numerous jobs that could be accomplished by setting the body down on a stable surface and just vacuum away holding just the end of the hose and whatever attachment you need at that moment. Just sayin’ — it’s nice to dream. My Outsize+ came with seven heads, two batteries (nice touch), two charging units, and a wall mount base. If you mount the base within reach of an outlet, each time you hang up the vac, it begins to recharge. With the two included charging units, you should easily be able to vacuum an averaged sized home with batteries at the ready. Dyson seems to have a very good warranty and support. There are numerous videos they have put on their site to help with any setup confusion and maintenance. Make sure to register your device. Amazing — yes. Perfect — no, but not far from it. I’m looking forward to years of satisfaction.

I am a big fan of Dyson (own several including older model and love) but this product is a little disappointing for the money. Hard to use on most rugs doesn’t move smoothly( not a high pile rug by no means) I also had to take in for repair just 2 months later The release latch on the trash part stopped working. Luckily for me I purchased the warranty. I would rather then not repair and seek another model

The best Vacuum that anyone can buy I had a previous one V8 Dyson and it was pretty awesome as well but this one hands-down 100% better and stronger and pulls all that dust out and hair I am in love with this And very impressed the price is a little high but to meet is worth it!!!!!
