Great vacuum for hardwood floors. has trouble on the carpet.

It is very big and uncomfortable to use! I did exchanged for smaller one!!

IS NOT ANY LONGER WORKING I WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK!!

my V6 cordless vacuum needed to be replaced with a new body after only 4 years of use. So I decided to upgrade to this outsize since other cordless vacuums don't have enough power running to vacuum my house. I was really excited and tried it...... NOPE. It doesn't even vacuum dog hair (it left behind so much) and the hair got stuck from only 1 time use!!!!!!! the floor is hardwood so it's different from carpet but according to the ads it should work with hardwood floor also..... I DON'T THINK SO! I am VERY disappointed and thinking about returning it and just buy the body for my old vacuum. :-(

I really didn’t like this cordless vacuum it doesn’t pick up on the sides. And sometimes I have to roll it twice. Honestly I paid 650 with tax and it’s not worth the price.

Bought to replace our 10 yr old regular dyson thinking it would make life easier. Used 3 times and it stopped working. I contacted dyson about it and told the part was out of stock with 2-3 week wait. I'm now far outside of my return window as it's been 4 months. I recommend getting a different dyson. I've had 2 previously with no issues.

This vacuum has not worked since day 1 I have returned and received a replacement, I have also called Dyson several times and received a replacement part once and then a whole new vacuum with the exchange of mine. None of these vaccines have worked. They don’t turn on. I do not recommend.

Has been an outstanding vacuum. lightweight, powerful, and long-lasting, despite being cordless.

I have never used a Dyson vacuum before and the only product from them I have used is the hair drier. I loved the hair drier so i expected a great experience using this vacuum. Inside the box you get a bunch of accessories to use on various surfaces hard and soft, 2 power adapters and 2 batteries! The system is quite easy to use and has a full size bin. The battery can lasts up to 120 minutes but that is probably only using eco mode. It uses a computer inside to determine what power is needed on each surface and tell you how much battery is left between the different modes. I have been getting around 100 minutes or so with eco mode since I really only need that but there is med and Boost mode as well. If you want a quality vacuum that is cordless and great this is well worth the price of a Dyson.

The Dyson Outsize Cordless Vacuum is a great cordless vacuum option. We have 2 very large, short haired dogs and so this review is based off how well the vacuum performed with animal hair and dirt. The vacuum came out of the box fairly straightforward and easy to use. We charged both batteries for approximately 4.5 hours prior to use as instructed. I wanted to get an idea how long the battery would last while doing my normal routine of vacuuming our living room, dining room, kitchen, entry way, all hallways, laundry room and front bathroom. I set the toggle switch to the middle setting and began. The LCD screen showed about 60 minutes to start with, so I began cleaning our carpeted living room. The full sized cleaner head and bin quickly filled up with dog hair and dirt. I was impressed by the ease of turning and maneuvering around the couch and under the end table. The suction was great and the clear bin showed just how much the vacuum was pulling up. I emptied the bin when I was about half way done with the living room. I then went to the tiled entry way. The vacuum automatically “knew” that I had switched from carpet to tile and adjusted the battery time left as needed. The battery lasts a lot longer on tile and glides effortlessly too. The bin again filled quickly. I was able to then switch back to the carpeted dining room without having to stop and unplug/replug the vacuum in the other room. This is a high traffic area as the doggie door to the outside is in the dining room. The vacuum was able to get deep down and remove a lot of sand and pet hair here. At this point I was about half way through the first battery. After another bin dump, I moved on to the hallways and laundry room. Both of which are tiled. Again, the vacuum moved right around corners easily and I was able to vacuum under all of the hallway tables/benches without moving them. The vacuum lays almost flat which is great. The front bathroom is tiled and the vacuum easily fit between the toilet and sink. Again, no need to unplug or replug in the cord which cut down on the starting/stopping time. Overall, it took me about 60 minutes switching between carpet & tile to complete all of the rooms mentioned. I emptied the bin 4 times total. The bin opens and empties very easily without a bag to expel the dirt and hair directly into the garbage. There are so many different attachments that come along with the vacuum. We tried out the edge tool and the brush bar and both were great getting into the hard to reach areas. My only complaint is the vacuum didn’t come with an accessories bag or anything to put them in. We had an extra cinch sack lying around that does the job, but it would be nice if Dyson supplied one. Overall, the pros to the vacuum were great: • Great suction with larger cleaner head & full size bin • No cord to deal with saving time moving from room to room • Vacuum automatically switches from carpet mode to hard floor • Easy to swivel and maneuver around and under furniture • 2 rechargeable battery packs allowing almost 120 minutes of vacuuming time • Especially easy to push over tile and laminate There were just a few cons that I noticed, so I thought I should mention those: • No bag to store attachments or accessories • Vacuum does not stand upright by itself. You must lean it against a wall or counter or it will fall over • The on/off switch is a trigger and you must constantly squeeze it to use the vacuum. I noticed my hand/wrist starting to fatigue from gripping. I tried to switch hands back and forth to elevate this. I wish there was a constant on/off switch that could have been utilized for larger rooms. My hand/arm were slightly sore the next day from this. • Some might find it too heavy for prolonged use on carpet. The powerful suction does makes pushing/pulling it on carpet and little more tiresome. • We did not try using it as a handheld to clean shutters, etc. but the weight might make that cumbersome too. Very nice cordless vacuum nonetheless that really does do a great job picking up pet hair and dirt. It is versatile and can easily be used in multiple rooms on multiple surfaces.

Best vacuum we have ever owned, we haveva German Shepard who never stops shedding, the oversized drum on thus model is great less dumping, battery life is really good too

Far too delicate for the work it's suppose to do. It fell over and now it doesn't work. An internal part is broken. This is a known issue with Dyson. They have parts on "backorder" for over a month now. I now have to purchase ANOTHER vacuum just to be able to clean my home. Additionally, it is very heavy and cumbersome. Huge waste of money. It's very heavy, awkward to use and cumbersome.

Great product. It sweeps up all of my dogs hair from the floor. Easy to clean. Easy to charge. All around, easy to use.

Is harder to push, manipulate, and empty than the V8 Animal. Does hold a lot and has power, just wish it was easier to push on carpet.

Exceptional new cleaning device themst is both fun and effective! Lightweight and the reach goes far beyond traditional vacummes.

The vacuum works very smoothly on my rugs and I have no problem with it. It’s less noisy than our other vacuum cleaner.
