It is quiet, easy to operate, and very efficient. I haven't used all of its features yet, but now I can sleep well. Before the Dyson, I was literally up all night, struggling with a dry, sore throat. All of that ha been remedied. Although the Dyson is pricey, it is worth every penny.

This replaced a regular room cool mist humidfier that would run continuously. This Dyson has a remote to set the humidity level so it will cycle on and off as needed.

It does exactly what it says it does. Right out of the box it works on your behalf right away. Easy to follow instructions and it comes with a durable and reliable filter. I have waited so long for a device like this and i'm glad i finally got a good working one. The quality of Dyson in my opinion is second to none.

It was first purchased as an air purifier but since I live in a very dry climate it was to be used as a humidifier also. I admit that the air purifier function of this product is great. As for the other functions my review is less enthusiastic. The cooling fan does a terrible job. A smaller stand alone blade fan works much better. The humidifier on this product is horrible. At full power and setting at 40% humidity, it never gets my bedroom humidity above 35%. It never seems to disperse the water any faster no matter what setting it is on. Therefore, since this product is so expensive, I would save your money on separate products that are built to do the individual jobs better. I give it zero stars for humidifying, 1 star for cooling fan and 3 stars for the air purifier function. Add a 1 star because of the price point.

The purifying side pushes out cleaner air, with up to 99.7% of impurifications as small as 0.3 microns removed, making sure you're breathing in cleaner indoor air.
We're sorry to hear of your experience with the humidifying side of the machine. The machine can reach up to 70% humidity, depending on your setting. However, getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Even when the machine is working properly, it can naturally be harder to reach a target humidity if the air is relatively dry to begin with, if it’s an “open” environment where non-humidified air is flowing in, etc.

Having worked for 5 months, I broke down. The price is incredibly overpriced, I don't recommend paying for a logo.

I've had multiple Dyson products, mostly vacuums. No company is prefect especially on the cutting edge, but this product is a whiff. Beyond the pure cost, it does not efficiently humidify to above 40%, even in rooms as small as 250-300 sq ft, running for hours on end. As temperatures drop, it doesn't keep up with the dry air. Second, it's a well known issue that Dyson refuses to acknowledge - this emits a VERY noticeable yeast/fish/sour smell. It was great for about 2 weeks, then suddenly, the smell came. Using distilled water from the beginning, I replaced the filter even though it was 88% life, and I even did a deep clean cycle. Nothing. When I fully removed both filters, the smell started to go away. Thus, the issue is with the filters. Apparently charcoal filters will always do this. I know this product is innovative but net-net, it is not effective at humidifying (great job with app and cooling), and the smell is not tenable.

The level your machine can reach will vary, depending on your home environment, as well as the outdoor relative humidity where you reside. The machine is designed to reach a 70% humidity level, if the conditions are right to reach that level. Excellent technology, really improved the cleanliness of the air. After six months, however, it started requiring cleanings more and more frequently and now can't last an entire week without a deep clean cycle.
