Don’t buy this Dyson product

The unit stopped working after 54 days of purchase due to a company recall of their internal pump. Best Buy would not return this item because it was past their 45 day return policy. I had to contact Dyson directly. They told me they would replace the item with new revised pump. After returning the product, I was notified that this item is on back order for another 90 days!! I now have no humidifier/purifier during allergy season.

It had to deep clean every day

So I deep cleaned it and it says it takes 60 mins but actually takes a whole day an a half?? After it would finish I would go to turn it on and use the humidifier and have to deep clean it again. Horrible choice to buy!

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We wouldn't expect to hear that you'd be prompted to clean your PH01 Pure Humidify + Cool every day, in your use. The Deep Clean cycle's default setting should be set to once per month; however this will alter depending on the water hardness in your area. You can adjust this setting within the Dyson Link app. Alternately, if you're only using the machine as a purifier, and not using the humidifier function, you should also run that Deep Clean cycle and dry the tank once it's complete. This has stupid design

You will not want to use the humidifier in the summer, because the unit is not designed for any evaporative cooling from water. In the winter, I believe you will find this a very large and clunky humidifier. This unit is large, heavy, and difficult to move. "Auto" only refers to auto filtration (i.e. this turns on when the air needs to be purified). I suppose that's nice, but it doesn't turn up when the heat rises, meaning constant adjustment. The "breeze" function is comfortable and very nice. Best-Buy return policy stinks... 15 days. Should have bought it from Dyson, because this product is definitely one most users will want to return.

While the purification itself cannot be turned off of this machine, you do have the option to turn off humidification, as well as utilizing the backward airflow control, to divert air through the back of the unit, rather than into your room. Not worth the money.

First problem happened with pump malfunction. Second problem happened with deep cleaning. Google deep cleaning this unit and you will find a bunch of frustrated people with this piece of cr*p.

Disappointed with Dyson

I’ve had this product for less than a month and it only worked the first time I turned it on. I placed this ‘humidifier’/‘purifier’ in my baby’s room(very small room). The humidity and air quality never got better. According to the sensor on the product, the air quality is always poor or extremely poor where the air quality is much better outdoor. I had to drop this off at a dyson service center for a repair. The receptionist at the service center didn’t even ask me what was wrong with the product... what’s more disappointing was I’m now using a 10x cheaper humidifier and the humidity has improved a lot. I was shocked to find out this $800 dyson humidifier is making the room less humidify! I feel guilty to put such a product in my baby’s room.
