This thing is great! I've often wondered how these things work, they're so futuristic and now I have this one I could kick myself for not considering this earlier. Very simple to setup, nothing that's going to cause frustration. It's quite a large unit so be aware of that. I use it on Auto Mode and it works really well. You can just leave it to do its thing and it really does collect a lot of dust and such. Noise levels are much lower than expected also, i don't know what i really expected but it certainly wasn't something to be as quiet as this. It also has a night mode that keeps purifying but keeps it the quietest setting and dims the LCD so its not annoying. You can also using this without the cooling which is a great feature. It diverts the cool air through the back of the unit so you don't get a cold draft. I have not used the timer as yet but you can set a timer on this for upto 9 hours which is a long time. Like i mentioned, i just use mine on auto mode. The LCD panel on the device gives you all the information you need regarding air quality. neat feature Also it comes with a remote for easy usage that magnetically attaches to the unit which is convenient. Overall i love this thing. its quite, does exactly what it promises to do and does it well. It's very quiet even when not on night mode and looks great. I have pets and this has done such a good job when it comes to any oder and such. Highly recommend

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Purifier Cool Autoreact™ TP7A. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

We understand that you're intending to return your unit to the store for a refund. If you have any other questions/concerns, please get in touch with us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com.

The unit looks great, the remote does help, but it has very little circulation in slow speeds, once you turn the speed to high it sounds like a drone propeller is in the room, it’s too loud to have it on at night.

I have been using this air purifier for a few weeks. And man you don’t realize you need something till you have it. I usually am skeptical about air purifiers but this unit is a UNIT. It has the Icon Dyson look which I am a big fan of (No pun intended). I will say it is fairly tall so it won’t really hide in a corner. But the actual base is not that large so you will be ok on that front. The assembly was very easy. You just have to attached the filters that have markings showing which side is which. The build quality is great and you can tell when you put it together even the remote has a super premium feel. It took me a few days of almost loosing the remit to realize that it literally magnetizes to the top of the unit, and it’s a strong connection! The unit has a lot of presets and options. The rotation ability on this device is insane you put that thing on 350 degrees! It literally will spin 170 one way and then spin all back and continue 170 the other way! It has a lot of versatility. You can have it just be a a air purifier or you can unleash the beast. You can turn on the fan and man that bad boy can blow. Its early spring now so I haven’t had to use it in that aspect quite yet but I’ll just say it get cold quick! Another feature that I really think is great it the fact you can reverse the flow. This is allowing the unit to have less air force by using almost a like bypass out the back side and not shooting that clean air at high velocity at your face. It makes it so you won’t freeze from one of its attributes which is of course cooling. This device is perfect for those with allergies and houses that get hot or stuffy. I could almost instantly feel home much fresher the room feels when I run the unit. I usually run it on auto mode where it analyzes the air quality. Which my air quality is not bad where I am at so I can’t see the beautiful lcd show the levels. But I do appreciate it. This unit really delivers on the the Dyson quality and really surpassed my expectations.

outstanding addition to my home office

the good: - Dyson quality and design - In typical Dyson fashion, it feels well built and looks about as sleek as a fan can. I use mine in my office, just behind where I sit. Previously I had used a little turbo fan under my desk, which ultimately did the trick for keeping me cool, but working from home I constantly had to turn it off for work meetings. Traditional fans simply require too much footprint, whether standing or sitting on a desktop. This guy has the footprint of a dinner plate, and provides airflow along most of its 41" in height, instead of just the fan diameter. The design of these fans really is ingenious. - no fan blades for little ones or pets to touch - The wizardry (read: engineering) at work here keeps the rotating parts inside the base. Since there are no spinning blades exposed, parents and pet owners can rest easy knowing that there is no potential for mishap. - fan noise - With any air movement there is going to be noise, but with this fan there is a substantial decrease in motor noise. What you hear with this fan compared to a "typical" bladed fan is significantly reduced. Think more of a pleasant "whishing" sound as opposed to the motorized "brrrrrr" of other fans. That's not to say that it doesn't produce any noise at all, especially on higher speeds, but my thinking is that by then, if you're so hot that you need to keep it at 10, you probably don't care about the sound output. - doubles as air purifier - I no longer have issues with dust and pet allergies in my office since I started using this fan. Outstanding! - remote - The remote is similar in design to previous versions, which is to say it works great so why change it? This time it comes with a somewhat handy feature of being able to magnetically attach to the top of the fan. Cool feature for some, not so much for others. My only real complaint with the remote is the lack of tactile feel with the buttons. You can't find a button by touch, you have to look at it. I know, first world problems right? Nit picky to say the least. the bad: - no wifi/app control - In today's world of IOT (internet of things) connected devices, a nice touch would've been some wifi connectivity and control/scheduling via mobile app. misc: - price - May be prohibitive for some, but when you consider the feature set is very much worth it in my opinion. overall: Overall this is a fantastic fan which also doubles as an effective air purifier. No real negatives to speak of. Highly recommended!
