The Dyson - Airstrait straightener - Nickel/Copper doesn't work. The hair are frizzy.

I waited to write this review until my daughter and I both used the Airstrait regularly over a couple of months. We both have naturally curly hair to the root and both prefer to straighten our hair more than wear it natural. We’ve owned the Dyson Airwrap Complete for a couple of years, as well as many high end flat irons. While my daughter loved the Airwrap, it never gave me the smooth look I wanted, and my hair would get frizzy and big as soon as I left the house (thank you South FL humidity!). Then our (hair) lives changed forever when we saw the Airstrait on TikTok. After the initial hesitation to spend another small fortune on a hair tool, I bit the bullet - and we haven’t looked back. It’s fast, intuitive, easy to use, doesn’t heat up the bathroom, and turns my wet, curly hair straight and silky with 1 hair tool, in half the time. There are no heat plates and it uses heated air to both dry and straighten, so no concern about heat damage. After getting drizzled on recently, my hair even stayed (mostly) straight. I love it, my curly haired daughter loves it, and now my adult, wavy haired daughter loves ours and wants one for her birthday. There’s a reason Dyson can price their hair tools the way they do - because they are the BEST, and the quality is unbeatable. This one has 100% been a game changer in our house!

Don’t work during travel even with use of a voltage converter

I have been loving using this Dyson airstrait straightener! It is easily the most unique hair tool I have ever used or even seen, but now that I have been using it and seeing it's results I cannot recommend it enough! My hair routine prior to the Dyson airstrait was showering and washing my hair at night, blow drying it with a hairbrush. And then straightening my hair in the morning for about 10 minutes, not getting it perfect but at least getting any major kinks out of it. However now that I have been using the Dyson airstrait after my shower, my hair is way more straight when I go to bed, and I have a lot less straightening to do in the morning. I cannot believe how straight it comes out going from wet hair, it literally looks and feels like I just spent 45 minutes blow drying and then perfectly straightening it, but it only took about 10 minutes. The auto pause function is great as well, if I need both hands for a minute and set it down, it auto stops when no motion is detected, and as soon as it feels motion it starts again. I also love that if needed, I can pinch the two arms together and the air shooting out is basically like a normal hairdryer. It really is a multipurpose tool for your hair and it's so worth it. I cannot recommend this enough for anyone who has longer hair!

This Dyson Airstrait dries and straightens hair simultaneously. Take hair from wet to finished look – with one machine. The air is heated but not too extreme to cause damage. There are 3 pre-set temperatures-175°F, 230°F and 285°F which allows you to choose what is best for your hair type. I did find that my hair had a nice shine to it when using the boost mode. I really like that you can use this product to go from wet to straight, but since my hair is only slightly wavy I’m not sure if it’s totally worth it. I can use a regular hair dryer and my hair looks pretty similar, it is slightly straighter with this tool. But if you have curly hair, I think this would be an extremely helpful tool, it would definitely cut down on the time it takes to go from wet to straight. Overall this product offers a lot of options but probably better used by a professional hair dresser than someone who doesn’t appreciate the difference it makes. Its price point is too high for most and feel I can get the same look with products that are much more inexpensive.

This hair dryer works great. I don’t burn my hair when using. I dry my hair faster and split ends don’t happen.

It was a gift for my daughter in law who has thick curly hair. She loves it. It dries & straightens her hair in minutes.

I absolutely love this new product from Dyson!! It is a game changer for my hair that is always frizzy at the front and typically takes 30 minutes to style and straighten. With this product, my styling time is cut to 10 minutes and is so easy to use! I will be using this everyday now.

Fantastic product. I have the AirWrap, and honestly, was very underwhelmed by it. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that will not appear anywhere close to smooth without some sort of heat and tension styling. This product? Some kind of Dyson sorcery, it does what it says. 15 minutes from damp/curlyish/wavy/nonsense to straight, smooth, and sleek. It's a hefty price tag, but in lieu of harsh blowout brushes and irons? Yeah, it's worth it.

I already own and use a Dyson Hair Straightener and love it. However, after showering, I have to blow dry my hair first, then use the straightener. That's extra heat on my hair and A LOT of extra time to do my hair. Enter the Dyson Airstrait. What a great, all-in-one product. With built-in "blow drying" function, I can dry my hair and straighten it with one tool... in half the time. It has a number of temperature settings which allows me to customize the temperature, depending on the "wetness" level of my hair. The Airstrait also has an intelligent heat control system that monitors the temperature of the airflow and adjusts it as needed to prevent heat damage. Definitely a feature I appreciate. (I haven't been so nice to my hair in the past.) One thing I've noticed is that my hair does come out a bit more frizzy, on the ends, than my regular straightener. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's time to end my ends trimmed. The other thing about the Dyson Airstrait is that it's expensive. Obviously more so than regular hair straighteners, and I cannot find a similar product to compare this to. That being said, most Dyson products are more on the expensive side, but they make quality products that last many years. Overall, the Dyson Airstrait is a great option for people who are looking for a gentle, easy-to-use hair straightener that will help them achieve straight hair without heat damage... all while saving time styling your hair.

I have a number of Dyson hair appliances, and they all work as promised. the Airstrait upholds the tradition. I have long, thick, curly/frizzy hair, and it does an excellent job straightening it, while leaving my hair very soft. It does not curl in any sense, so you'll need to use something else to put a wave or curl back in.

This is a game changer for my hair. Since becoming severely allergic to my hair dye I’ve had to embrace my natural gray hair. Unfortunately heat turns silver yellow which I hated. It has different heat settings plus a cold shot and it works on dry out wet hair unlike the airwrap. I highly recommend!

Love! This works so well to dry and straighten my hair at the same time. An expensive purchase but worth it especially when on sale. I’ve only had this about a month so hoping it lasts with no issues!

Honestly bought this for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift… she loves it! Comments were it’s easy to use and it’s crazy how it is also a blow dryer. Really recommend all Dyson products. I myself have a Dyson vacuum
