Over the years I've watched my wife with hairdryer after hairdryer and all of them at one point have had major flaws or shortcomings. I got her the Dyson Supersonic to see if it had anything to offer over all the past ones that have cycled into the garbage. She's used it about a week now and absolutely loves it. To start with, it's much quieter than any hairdryer I've ever heard. The power is amazing and it feels lighter and better balanced than standard dryers. She likes the magnetic attachments which are held securely in place but also allow them to be rotated. The high air velocity dries her hair quicker. The controls are well laid out and accessible. There's one button for heat settings and a second for fan speed. Both are independently adjustable. Regardless of the heat setting, the dryer never feels overly hot to the touch and the handle remains comfortable to hold. The air intake is at the bottom of the handle and is covered by a removable plastic screen that's easy to remove and wipe clean. The cord is substantial and is plenty long enough, and has a nice coating on it that allows it to stay un-tangled.. No curly cord on this dryer. This is a well designed, well conceived machine. If there was one thing that might be construed as a con, it would be the overly large line cord mounted transformer, but even this is placed at a good point on the cord and rather flat instead of boxy. A two year parts and labor warranty is included. If you can swallow the price tag on this guy, it is well made and works better than expected, but alas, it is a huge stumbling point to get past.

Bought this for the wife and she really likes it. She says it is faster to dry her hair. I wish it was little cheaper.

It is expensive but does the job right. My wife is happy and I recommend getting it while on sale!

I have very thick hair and have tried every type of blow dryer on the market. This is the ONLY dryer that doesn’t take FOREVER to dry my hair. Worth every penny.

Love it. It is very well made and does a great job and doesn't get too hot. Its better than anything else I have used.

If you have long or thick hair you can dry hair fast and not sweat. Don’t even need to be a hairdresser.

Best blow dryer EVER. Yeah it’s expensive but you get what you pay for! Much faster drying time and a lot less noisy!

Words can't explain what an upgrade this is to a typical hairdryer...much faster, more efficient drying; definitely worth the investment.

Bought this as an Xmas gift. My wife has super long, fine hair (spider web like...hehe). She said it dried her hair a third quicker than her old blow dryer.

It's a great a hair dryer as they say it is. Not as noisy as a traditional hair dryer, which is great. The magnetic attachments are next level! Things I don't like: -price -super bulky cord (I'm not kidding) -placement of the heat and fan speed buttons
