It feels heavy to me, with the weight not being evenly distributed. Also, the way that I’m holding it makes the filter at the bottom pop off.

Getting one for my mom and in-law too. I didn't think $399 was worth it for a hairdryer that should have cost $20 at Costco. I mean, a hairdryer is a hairdryer, right? It just blows hot air. Wrong! I didn't want to admit it, but this Dyson hairdryer is now our favorite machine. The motor is quiet, vibration-free, all you hear is air noise. It's fun to dry hair.

I bought it for my wife for Christmas and gave it to her Dec 1st to try out. at first she loved it! Both her and I thought it was the best gift ever. After two weeks she realized that her routine took twice as long to blow dry and the final result wasn't even that good. She thought at first maybe it was the outside humidity, then the shampoo, and then she realized the dryer just sucks. It looks and feels amazing but that's as far as it goes. She has common Latin hair, easy to work with she says...but not for this dyson drier. So we returned it and now one week before xmas I'm back shopping again. Impossible that this product can get this many positive reviews based on performance alone.
