Last week, my hair dryer turned off mid dry out of no where. I was able to take it to the Dyson repair shop ready to pay a fee to fix it since I am 3 months out of my warranty. They called me a week later and said they can’t fix it, but they could sell me a $450 one for 20% off! I said no way. Rewind back to when it first broke. I chatted to a representative on their live chat. I had told him I cleaned it with a Norwex dry rag and would also take off the dust with my fingers too. He said neither of those were acceptable and to only use a toothbrush. Well, their website shows you that a microfiber cloth is an acceptable way to clean it. Today, Dyson says I cleaned it the wrong way, which is why it broke and they will not give me a new one or give me a better discount on a new one because of that. I am so disappointed that I spent $400 on this thing to last until the warranty was over.
