I'm a hairstylist that who normally won't waste my money on name brand things like this, but my husband bought this for me as a gift and I can't imagine using anything else after this. It dries hair much faster and is very quiet compared to other hair dryers. The attachments are easy to use and work great for my needs at my job and on myself. Note: On normal hairdryers, the heat vent is at the rear of the blower, but this one is on the bottom of the handle. If you cover it up with your hand by mistake, it will shut itself off and not turn back on for about 5-10 minutes, so be aware. I would highly recommend this hairdryer for personal and professional use. It's worth the money.

Ok, first off, got this for the wife due to the fact that I don't have enough hair to bother using a hair dryer on. Most of this review is from her point of view, though I'm guessing that she matches the primary demographic for this device anyway. I am truly amazed at the work Dyson does on appliances. Do the alternates that have been around forever work almost as good, sure but Dyson always seems to up that game in style, usability, and function. I haven't been let down by any of the multitude of products I have from them that are all still running just as well as the day I purchased them. That being said, I was a tad skeptical on how much you could really do to a hair dryer, I must say though that Dyson being Dyson has done it again and made a stellar product. For its primary duty as a hair dryer it is awesome and does the job just as well as my wife previous dryer. Doesn't seem to do it faster or slower and her hair doesn't look any different. What it does do better is give a heck of a lot better control over her hair drying and best of all for me, it does so in a much quieter fashion. Now on those rare days when I get to sleep in past her, I can actually sleep and not be woken up by a screaming hair dryer! If for no other reason, it was worth it for me. That and the fact that I'm sure that this dryer will last forever which is great because my wife has gone through three dryers in the last two years. Eventually this thing is going to pay for itself. My wife had only one quibble with the Supersonic and it has to do with one of Dyson's main selling points for this thing. The balance that she is used to when drying her hair is completely thrown off by having the guts moved to the handle instead of in the head of the device. Now I'm sure she is going to get used to it the same way she initially got used to using a hair dryer in the first place but for right now she says her arms are sore from working different muscles. So maybe this isn't a bad thing, perhaps Dyson should also list as one of the benefits of the Supersonic that it is also a workout device! Bottom line: Can you get something that does exactly what this does for a whole lot less money? Yes of course but that can be said of any Dyson product and hasn't stopped them from winning legions of fans (including me). To me, this was worth the price because I see my wife using this for the rest of her life. Considering I have spent over $100 in the last two years on other dryers I figure even if it only lasts a decade, I will have still saved money! Also, if you are a tech geek like me and are trying to pull your luddite wife into the 21st century, there probably isn't a better way to do it than the Dyson Supersonic!

This is my second Dyson hairdryer, nothing wrong with the first one but had it since they very first came out several years ago and figured time for an upgrade. Yes, they are expensive but in this case you get what you pay for , I think this one feels a little lighter than the original one I own . Love all the attachments that come with it My hair seems to dry faster with a Dyson, and I don’t get as many flyaways , I’ve owned the no babe brands before which are ok but Dyson is definitely far more superior

Got this during a rare sale at Best Buy as the Dyson hair dryer hardly ever goes on sale anywhere. I bought it for my wife since I'm follicularly challenged and don't have the need for one. She finds it to be very powerful, drying her hair quickly without damaging it. She also likes the attachments that she can use with it. I like that it doesn't sound like a jet engine taking off, as it is much quieter than a traditional hair dryer. You can actually carry on a conversation while it's running. I have to admit that I would have to think at least twice before paying full price for it, though.

I LOVE this thing. It's light, works well, heats up fast and is very quiet for a hair dryer. You just hear the sound of the air!! I wouldn't say it dries "faster" than say the shark (which I have also) but it is great. I did stop using my Shark that was only 6 months old.

Worth Every Penny. I got a bad haircut and needed to figure out how to tame it. Ask many stylists for help and all gave me the same notes. This hair dryer makes it so easy to style, dries very quick, and the fly away attachment is my new best friend! As many of the stylists I spoke with say "its an investment" but I have found it was worth every penny. I usually hated drying my hair, but with my haircut I have no choice until it grows out, and now I actually get pleasure out of drying my hair. Its no longer a chore, is simple, and fast.

Pricey? Absolutely. But my wife says its worth every penny! Extremely powerful but wont shut off the power like some hair dryers will. In fact we can use both Dyson vacuums and our Dyson hair dryer at the same time while running the washer/dryer and dishwasher if we wanted to. My wife can’t believe just how great this hair dryer really is. Extremely powerful, yet is doesnt burn her hair and she can dry her thick and long hair in half the time another 1850W hair dryer can. You cant find a better hair dryer.

I bought this as a holiday gift for my husband. He had other ones and he resisted me getting this for him before because of the price. But the other ones are very noisy. Our stylist used a Dyson hair dryer at their salon, so I knew how much quieter it was. My husband already has some hearing loss, so I’m hoping this is better for his ears, as well as his hair! The more he uses it, the more he’s glad that I went ahead and splurged and bought it. It is more expensive than other hairdryers, but it works so well.

Was in a bind and this product solved everything. Recently moved from beautiful south Florida to somewhere much more frigid and my girlfriend would always hug me with cold, wet hair. This product solved that issue and came with the supplemental benefit of making her very happy. It is also much quieter than the traditional hair dryer. While yes other products will solve my primary issue of cold wet hair, other products would not provide the same supplemental benefit. Your girl has seen other influencers on tik tok flexing this hair dryer and undoubtedly wants one. This is an ideal gift and will make her hair look great and is worth its weight in bj points. My hairdresser uses a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, so I purchased this based on her expert recommendation. I really dislike the task of drying my hair, but this Dyson dryer makes it so much easier. It's very lightweight but surprisingly powerful. I've never timed how long it takes to dry my hair, but I'm pretty sure this is much quicker. It's certainly a splurge but after having used it for several months I am happy with my purchase.

Absolutely love this Dyson hair dryer!!!! It dries hair in a fraction of time versus other hair dryers. There are multiple heat/cool settings along with many different attachments for use on many hair types. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for high quality. It is a true investment, however, worth the money in my opinion.

This is the second Air-wrap I have bought for both my daughters. They love how easy it is to use and it makes their hair so soft and look great. It is very powerful and overall great quality but $600 it is expensive.

I wanted to have this but not sure it would be worth the price tag or not. Finally got it, I regret not buying this earlier. Very lightweight, I can hold this one with one hand without being tired. Super strong, even with only cool air, I can dry my hair fast. It really helpful to maintain healthy scalp and hair. The additional attachments are also good for specific styling. Highly recommend.

This product is used commonly near me by hair salons, so it is approved by professionals, and I happened to have a coupon plus some gift cards to make the $400 price tag a bit easier to handle. Overall, while expensive, this is probably the best hair dryer on the market. The air is very strong while staying quiet, and all of the attachments adhere seamlessly to the front of the hair dryer via strong magnets. It also maintains a small profile, making it easier for storage and travel. Again, this is certainly a premium product but it is another great design from Dyson.
