First of all, my hair is very fine and naturally curly and I had a hard time getting it as straight as I do with my other blow dryer. However, my nieces have a different hair type and loved this blow dryer. It worked well on their hair, and decreased their blow drying time. My other issue was that this blow dryer over heated twice. My hand was not covering the vent, so I'm not sure why this kept happening. Best Buy has such a great return policy, so I would still recommend trying this product. It may work out better for you.

Dries out your hair in a bad way (CURLY GIRLS)

So, I came prepared to spend the $400 on this item. I used this product for about 3 weeks and noticed my hair was breaking off, and my wash and go’s were lasting but for 3 days, and was a hot frizzy mess. Prior to this dryer my curly hair would last for 5-6 days or even longer and I was confused why I never had one good wash day with the Dyson! So, I decided to give my old dryer a shot (babylissPRO Titanium Portofino an amazing dryer idk why I ever switched in the first place). My old dryer didn’t leave me with frizz, dry, brittle hair. No matter how much product I put in, or how much gel it was just awful! So if you have curly hair just be cautious of this please. I know it’s a luxury item, but it costs wayyyy to much for it to perform this badly. There are other great dryers out there.

There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair. My wife and daughters burned through hair dryers every 6-8 months. Bought one of these 2 years ago and still working fine. This is a second for daughter going to college.
