Bought as a gift. My wife wasn’t overly impressed.

Works really well at first, then after about a year of use, the power starts shortening out if you use it on high blow even with low heat. Doesn’t really last as long as it should.

So I looooooooove this hair dryer. I hate drying my hair because it feels like it takes FOREVER, especially since a traditional hair dryer is so bulky and heavy. Here comes the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. I was so intrigued by it because I mean, Dyson made a beauty tool? HOLD UP, SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. You mean, the company that makes vacuums and air purifiers is entering the beauty industry? I love small appliances and with a brand that's innovative with their products, I knew I needed to try it. I was so happy with it my first use, my dry time was cut in half, my arm wasn't sore at the end (due to the center of gravity being placed in the handle), and my hair wasn't as frizzy! After using this product over the course of a year, I can say my hair is a lot healthier and manageable. 10/10 WOULD BUY AGAIN

I had high hopes but I would not buy. It turned my hair to straw. Very dry and starting breaking off after only using it twice. This was on the lowest setting. Returned right away!

i bought this as a gift for a person who loves hair. After they tried it a few times, they stated that other brands offer the same or more drying power for 1/2 the cost. The dryer was returned after a few days.

By far the best purchase I have ever made and the results speak for itself!!! The new Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is without a doubt the best of the best. I used it myself after washing my hair and I cannot believe the results. My hair has so much less frizz that I don't even have to use a flat iron to style, it looks so smooth and dried in 5 minutes as opposed to 20-30 minutes. Oh and the light weight of it saves my arm and shoulder from the pain that comes with drying your hair! It is expensive but like I said the results speak for itself and is so very much worth the money. I will certainly get my money's worth out of it. Highly recommend and this is coming from a professional hair stylist!!

My title may be a little off but my wife gives all thumbs up. She has had plenty of time to use this hair dryer and gave me all the info I assume you could get on a device like this. First off it dries "super fast" and is much lighter than previous dryers. The attachments are magnetic and do not get hot, so swapping and or rotating them makes it easy. She said another great feature was that it seemed much more quiet and had a great long cord. From my view I noticed the card as well but how thick and solid it was, no junk here. The dryer also felt very solid and built to last. Dyson knows their stuff so I assume this will be a hit for the ladies and some fellas alike. Oh and it looks cool as h e double hockey sticks.

Firstly, the dryer is iconic in that Dyson has employed a new methodology in hair drying by using magnets to attach the desired gadgets while blow drying of one’s hair. Because of the item’s price, I was anxious to unbox this hair dryer and give it a try. I can truly say without reservations, it WORKS! The dryer comes with 4 heat settings. I tried the mid-range setting which really dried my hair surprisingly quick and I didn’t experience any frizzles. I noticed while drying how super light the unit feels in my hands, this was much to my dismay after using a magnetic attachment. Also, the motor is very quiet; I could listen to music on my iPad without turning it up to excessive loud levels in order to hear. Yes, I recommend this product to anyone who desires to get a salon look, feel and experience in the presence of their home. While the unit is pricey, it’s well worth it because ultimately, you’re not getting heat damage. I believe because of Dyson’s reputation for manufacturing quality products, you’ll enjoy the usage of this product for many years to come which will ultimately outweigh pricing!

Easy to use. Powerful. More air than heat. Not too heavy

After going to a new hair stylist this week and being very pleased with the results, I called the salon to see what kind of hair dryer the stylist had used, and it was this Dyson. Checked Best Buy, they are currently having a 20% off sale on hair dryers so I ordered it online yesterday and received today. (Great service from Best Buy!) Just used the new Dyson for the first time and I'm very happy! I have super fine and wavy shoulder length hair (one length) with a lot of shorter regrowth that usually frizzes. While using the Dyson, I'm able to control heat and air volume to achieve just the right settings for my hair type. My hair came out styled perfectly with shiny, bouncy volume (not flat) and the curly, short re-growth pieces are tamed. I had been searching for a new dryer to replace my SuperSolano, but didn't want ION technology because using ION usually leaves my fine hair super flat with no body. Not this Dyson, I LOVE it!! The tools are super easy to use, the cord is nice and long, it's quieter and lighter than the SuperSolano, easier to hold, and the aesthetics are pleasing. One minor complaint is that the on/off switch is a bit tough to toggle up/down (instead of sideways) when switching while styling, but I'm sure I will get used to it. The cool shot button is very easy and I love that you can change the flow direction of the tool attachment easily. Designed very well. Overall, very happy with this Dyson hair dryer and Best Buy! I actually enjoy drying my my hair again because the results are so much better, totally worth it. Thanks!

This dryer is so LOUD and the cord is SO heavy, it had to go back. For that amount it should have the sound of a sound machine!

I have been wanting to buy this for a few years now and finally bought it. Total let down. I thought maybe if it wasnt good for my processed hair it would be good for my young daughters healthy hair. It was equally horrible. I tried different settings and same end affect. Hair was not smooth and not frizz free. It felt horrible. Would not recommend to anyone. I returned.

Wow - This was expensive! At the end of the day, we returned it because it's simply drying hair, and our $15 Drug Mart hairdryer does the job just as well, only it doesn't look as cool.

I had first purchased this hair dryer on 1/31/2020 as a gift for my wife. It broke down in early September 2020. Luckily, we had purchased warranty, and Best Buy replaced the unit without problems. We got a new unit on 9/13/2020, and this one broke down yesterday (04/04/2021). We are thinking to return this hair dryer. Obviously, Dysons does not have their quality control in check. A $50 hair dryer would likely last longer.

I bought this on a whim when it was on sale, and I have no regrets!!! It has helped my straight, Asian hair not be as oily and cuts down drying by half. So easy to use and I love the different air functions too. I definitely feel my hair being smoother and healthier. Definitely give the Supersonic hair dryer a shot!!

Is not the easiest thing to use. It dries dry well but using the styling attachments is kind of a pain and takes a lot of effort. This hair dryer wasn't for my wife so we returned it.

I wanted this and my husband bought it to surprise me. What a disappointment- the plug is like a transformer and uses so much power that the lights would flicker. Didn't really get hair dry and tangled my fine hair. Would not buy

After having myself and two ladies use the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, it has proven itself as a viable investment. Like many people, I've taken the common hair dryer for granted. Upon using the Dyson Supersonic, I have a new appreciation for the device and more. Dyson has achieved a new level of efficiency with their device. I have medium length hair, with a normal hair dryer, it would take me around 20 minutes to style and dry. With Dyson, the regime takes 10 minutes and my hair was completely dry. What can I say, I'm a male and in the past, I didn't have the patience to make sure my hair was fully dry (we've all been there). The Dyson delivered completely dry hair with volume that I haven't had since going to a hair salon. Let's talk about the attachments (this is where the two other ladies that I mentioned earlier come into play). Debbie raved about how she was able to actually have a conversation without overly raised voices that normally comes with hair dryers. And like myself, she really appreciated the ergonomic design that makes the hand feel tired after several minutes. She used the Smoothing Nozzle that attaches magnetically. When she would normally have to use a curling iron and hair spray, the Dyson delivered a full volume result that lasts over a day. The styling concentrator attachment with a rounded brush provides some incredible curl and wave into the body of hair of the second lady, Michelle. Some may think that a $400 hair dryer is pricey but it comes with the Dyson stamp of quality. If the customer service is anything like that for their vacuums then it only validates this kind of investment further. The Supersonic Dryer would be a PERFECT instrument for professional hair stylists.

Disappointed by the quality... blow dryer started to shut off automatically all the time after about 6months of use in the salon. Cool idea but it needs more fine tuning
