Even though it does dry my hair fast I haven’t noticed and extreme difference in time from my old drugstore Remington hairdryer. It is a little less noisy than your average tool but it still is noisy. And one thing I didn’t read much about in the reviews was that it is heavy, heavier than expected for me. I will say that my hair feels a lot smoother after I’m done drying it, so there’s that. Will continue using it to see if my experience evolves in any way, but for the time being it didn’t live up to my expectations.

But I can’t get past the price. I’ll use it a few more time I just do not think it is worth the money.

Pet Owners Caution-High Frequency Noise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Caution this blow dryer most work on a high frequency because every time I turn it on my cats run away. If I use any other blow dryer but the Dyson they will stay and even let me blow dry them. (Cool air of course) The blow dryer works ok but since I have short hair I am not seeing the value of it. I will stay with my 100.00 Ceramic blow dryer for now. Also if you have medium to large hands you may find yourself holding the bottom of the handle. The filter is in the bottom of the handle so it you cover the vents with your hand I am afraid that the blow dryer might overheat?

I'm happy to share, Dyson Supersonic wouldn't be high pitch enough to cause a concern like this. I can also recommend that during your use, to ensure that the filter inlet area is not covered by your hand. You'll also want to ensure that the filter remains clean through regular maintenance, which will help to prevent overheating of your dyer.
