I have thick curly hair that I like to straighten at times. This dryer is unimpressive. For the money I expected softer, healthy, silky hair. I got the same results as I do with my $30.00 five year old hairdryer. It did NOT cut back my drying time. It did not make my hair softer. It is a bit clunky and heavy. I will say it is quiet and it dries hair nice enough. But for the money I expected much, much more! Overpriced and over-rated in my opinion.

The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is engineered with the Dyson Air Multiplier technology, providing a strong steady stream of air. Coupled with the intelligent heat control, the machine provides quick drying with less heat damage than the conventional hair dryer.
Because of the intelligent heat control, we recommend minimal to no product when using the machine. Excess product can cause a straw-like, heavy texture.

Won’t buy any Dyson products anymore

This is the Worst product and service! Stopping work within 8 months. Dyson refused me using warranty because of lack of serial number.
