Hair Dryer is Legit!

Pros: - Light weight - High power air flow - Multi temperatures so it won't burn your hair - Quick drying/ non tangling - Filter is at bottom of handle so hair won't get caught in it and burn off - Quiet fan (doesn't wake baby!) - Long cord so I'm not stuck in one place. - Tools are magnetic so they are easy to put on and remove without super strength and possibility of damaging it - Hair won't get caught in the fan portion of the dryer bc it is hollow (great for long hair) - My hair is definitely shinier and it doesn't feel burned or crispy after using it at highest temperature - I didn't over heat and it didn't over heat the room (thinking of summer with not a greasy AC or winter with heat turned on.) - I have a lot of very fine hair... if I blow dry it one day I usually have to wash and dry it the next day due to it looking oily (from heat/products) I haven't had to wash and dry my hair every day after using it.. it's significantly not as oily and flat. Cons - Cord is heavy - could be lighter with a way to extend its length - Hook that goes on the dryer to hang it doesn't fit very well or is too small to go around the dryer/handle - A bag would be great to hold all styling tools as there are 3.

I'm happy to inform you that Dyson Supersonic hair dryers features 3 different attachments - a smoothing nozzle, styling concentrator, as well as a diffuser for use with achieving varying hair styles. Dyson Supersonic also features 4 precise heat control settings to also aid in drying, styling hair, as well as locking in your hair style. While the smoothing nozzle works well with working sections of your hair with a gentle airflow that can be used with just your hand, styling hair can be done with the styling concentrator as well as a brush. Not really worth it

I have to use the cool setting since I wear my hair naturally curly. The only benefit is that my hair isn’t as frizzy. I bought it to cut down on dry time but my 2400 watt dryer worked just as fast.

Dried my hair out BADLY, BEWARE!

I was very disappointed, however, with the results. It dried out my long, curly hair horrendously; my hair was like a haystack after use! I only completed one section of hair and decided to stop and use my trusty Babybliss to finish the job, which always makes my hair silky and smooth. I was expecting the same or better results from the Dyson Supersonic. I packed up dryer and returned to store same day. For the price point of this unit, I was shocked. I love Dyson's household appliances (vacuum, fan, ie) but their hairdryer is NOT GOOD. The dryer is awesome looking, lightweight and impressive to see. I really wanted to love it!

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. We designed the Dyson Supersonic with the Air Multiplier technology to provide faster drying but with an intelligent heat control to lessen heat damage and provide smooth hair with minimal product.
The use of product may cause a straw-like texture because of this, so if this is the experience you're getting we always using minimal to no product to change the result. With conventional hair dryers, product may be needed to avoid heat damage but the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer eliminates this need.
We hope you will continue to consider Dyson products in the future.
