To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

Not as great as I had hoped

It has a very high pitched noise when on the lowest fan setting that is very irritating not just to me but to my pets as well. The force of the air (which is great to a point) ties my baby fine long hair into knots. Drying time is not that much shorter than my older hair dryer. For the price I don't see the draw.

Burns your hair, severely drying and horrible tangles no matter the setting. The fly away tool makes your hair look greasy and flat not strait. Plus sometimes it won’t turn on that is the first month of owning!

I appreciated the design and the speed/heat fine control. But it kept shutting off. I spent time troubleshooting; I tried different outlets in my house; I made sure I was never holding the dryer too close to my hair; nothing kept it running for more than 2 minutes at a time. I'd unplug, re-set, re-plug and test. It would go on again ... for 2 more minutes.

I love that the attachments are magnetic. I also love the design and the weight. There are three settings for heat and wind speed and I like the ability to choose based on my styling needs. I would definitely recommend this blow dryer to anyone. Just a little note, you can actually carry on a conversation while using it.

Great hairdryer but will break and Dyson won't fix

After a few months we noticed that the power would shut off for 10 seconds or so after only a little use. This happened more and more often until it was almost unusable which took about 6 months. We called dyson and their customer service was weirdly rude. Not only did it not get fixed, they were aggressively rude on the phone about it. Honestly a great hair dryer but if anything goes wrong, you're on your own, Dyson will not stand behind their product. Seems crazy for such an expensive item.

Compact and user-friendly, suitable for those with small hands. Though pricey, its durable design, ease of use, and potential 10+ year lifespan make it unlikely to break, collect lint, or overheat. This hair dryer efficiently dries her curly hair in more than half the time of her old hair dryer which frees up the bathroom for me,. At 28, I appreciate a hassle-free experience, and I hope this dryer lasts a lifetime,

This does dry faster, about 2-3 minutes than other hairdryers. The power is great on this, the heat is great, and the weight is very light. It is easy to transport. The only negative is that this cost $400. If you have the extra income to spend, then this is by far the best hairdryer on the market as of today.
