I hate drying my hair because it feels like it takes FOREVER, especially since a traditional hair dryer is so bulky and heavy. Here comes the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. I was so intrigued by it because I mean, Dyson made a beauty tool? HOLD UP, SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. You mean, the company that makes vacuums and air purifiers is entering the beauty industry? I love small appliances and with a brand that's innovative with their products, I knew I needed to try it. I was so happy with it my first use, my dry time was cut in half, my arm wasn't sore at the end (due to the center of gravity being placed in the handle), and my hair wasn't as frizzy! After using this product over the course of a year, I can say my hair is a lot healthier and manageable. 10/10 WOULD BUY AGAIN

There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

The new Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is without a doubt the best of the best. I used it myself after washing my hair and I cannot believe the results. My hair has so much less frizz that I don't even have to use a flat iron to style, it looks so smooth and dried in 5 minutes as opposed to 20-30 minutes. Oh and the light weight of it saves my arm and shoulder from the pain that comes with drying your hair! It is expensive but like I said the results speak for itself and is so very much worth the money. I will certainly get my money's worth out of it. Highly recommend and this is coming from a professional hair stylist!!

She has had plenty of time to use this hair dryer and gave me all the info I assume you could get on a device like this. First off it dries "super fast" and is much lighter than previous dryers. The attachments are magnetic and do not get hot, so swapping and or rotating them makes it easy. She said another great feature was that it seemed much more quiet and had a great long cord. From my view I noticed the card as well but how thick and solid it was, no junk here. The dryer also felt very solid and built to last. Dyson knows their stuff so I assume this will be a hit for the ladies and some fellas alike. Oh and it looks cool as h e double hockey sticks.

Because of the item’s price, I was anxious to unbox this hair dryer and give it a try. I can truly say without reservations, it WORKS! The dryer comes with 4 heat settings. I tried the mid-range setting which really dried my hair surprisingly quick and I didn’t experience any frizzles. I noticed while drying how super light the unit feels in my hands, this was much to my dismay after using a magnetic attachment. Also, the motor is very quiet; I could listen to music on my iPad without turning it up to excessive loud levels in order to hear. Yes, I recommend this product to anyone who desires to get a salon look, feel and experience in the presence of their home. While the unit is pricey, it’s well worth it because ultimately, you’re not getting heat damage. I believe because of Dyson’s reputation for manufacturing quality products, you’ll enjoy the usage of this product for many years to come which will ultimately outweigh pricing!

This Dyson Dryer Rocks!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After going to a new hair stylist this week and being very pleased with the results, I called the salon to see what kind of hair dryer the stylist had used, and it was this Dyson. Checked Best Buy, they are currently having a 20% off sale on hair dryers so I ordered it online yesterday and received today. (Great service from Best Buy!) Just used the new Dyson for the first time and I'm very happy! I have super fine and wavy shoulder length hair (one length) with a lot of shorter regrowth that usually frizzes. While using the Dyson, I'm able to control heat and air volume to achieve just the right settings for my hair type. My hair came out styled perfectly with shiny, bouncy volume (not flat) and the curly, short re-growth pieces are tamed. I had been searching for a new dryer to replace my SuperSolano, but didn't want ION technology because using ION usually leaves my fine hair super flat with no body. Not this Dyson, I LOVE it!! The tools are super easy to use, the cord is nice and long, it's quieter and lighter than the SuperSolano, easier to hold, and the aesthetics are pleasing. One minor complaint is that the on/off switch is a bit tough to toggle up/down (instead of sideways) when switching while styling, but I'm sure I will get used to it. The cool shot button is very easy and I love that you can change the flow direction of the tool attachment easily. Designed very well. Overall, very happy with this Dyson hair dryer and Best Buy! I actually enjoy drying my my hair again because the results are so much better, totally worth it. Thanks!

Hair Dryer that doesn't last

It broke down in early September 2020. Luckily, we had purchased warranty, and Best Buy replaced the unit without problems. We got a new unit on 9/13/2020, and this one broke down yesterday (04/04/2021). We are thinking to return this hair dryer. Obviously, Dysons does not have their quality control in check. A $50 hair dryer would likely last longer.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your experience with the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is very disappointing to hear, and I'm sure as equally as frustrating for you. It's very unusual to hear that right out of the box, your dryer is showing 3 flashing white lights. While this can be indicative of needing to clean the filter, it can also indicate overheating, and/or incorrect voltage. If the plastic wrap is left on the handle, or the dryer is held low with the hand covering the vent, this will block airflow and lead to the dryer overheating, and shutting itself off during use to prevent the motor from burning out.
