"Blows" Away The Competition
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After having myself and two ladies use the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, it has proven itself as a viable investment. Like many people, I've taken the common hair dryer for granted. Upon using the Dyson Supersonic, I have a new appreciation for the device and more. Dyson has achieved a new level of efficiency with their device. I have medium length hair, with a normal hair dryer, it would take me around 20 minutes to style and dry. With Dyson, the regime takes 10 minutes and my hair was completely dry. What can I say, I'm a male and in the past, I didn't have the patience to make sure my hair was fully dry (we've all been there). The Dyson delivered completely dry hair with volume that I haven't had since going to a hair salon. Let's talk about the attachments (this is where the two other ladies that I mentioned earlier come into play). Debbie raved about how she was able to actually have a conversation without overly raised voices that normally comes with hair dryers. And like myself, she really appreciated the ergonomic design that makes the hand feel tired after several minutes. She used the Smoothing Nozzle that attaches magnetically. When she would normally have to use a curling iron and hair spray, the Dyson delivered a full volume result that lasts over a day. The styling concentrator attachment with a rounded brush provides some incredible curl and wave into the body of hair of the second lady, Michelle. Some may think that a $400 hair dryer is pricey but it comes with the Dyson stamp of quality. If the customer service is anything like that for their vacuums then it only validates this kind of investment further. The Supersonic Dryer would be a PERFECT instrument for professional hair stylists.

The Dyson Supersonic does have a safety feature where it will shut off to prevent over heating when the filter is clogged. The filter should be occasionally cleaned thoroughly especially if being used in a salon.

To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only been able to use this hairdryer once, and I didn't use any of the attachments, but I have to say, I love this dryer. The design of it is such that I am not constantly hitting my head with the end of the of the hair dryer like I often do when using a traditional dryer. The different speeds and heat settings are handy, as is the cold shot button. The attachments (a curl diffuser, and two concentrated diffuser) connect magnetically, and the dryer comes with a non-skid mat and a strap to use to hang it, if you like.

This one dries my hair much faster and leaves it softer too. Something I noticed was that it doesn't make as much noise as a regular one. I like how simple it is when it comes to changes the temperature. There is only one button that controls the heat. The hair dryer comes with a lot of options. There is 3 different style tools to choose from and they each belong with a different hair style. It's very light too

Drying speeds are too forceful. You can dry your hair but can’t style it. The force of the blower on lowest setting blew things off of my bathroom counter.
