Overwhelmingly everyone was in awe of how well this device worked. It is the better/best mouse trap of hair dryers. Not only does it your hair faster it doesn't singe it in the process of fill the room up with massive amounts of heat. Something that will be nice in the summer. Straightening and curling were unbelievably simple and the controls are placed so that you can make adjustments by touch. When you do make a change it is instant! This would also be a good traveler as it is solid but not overly bulky or heavy.

Great until it overheats!

Like the majority of other Dyson machines, the Supersonic™ is only intended for use within the country where it was purchased. Not worth the money

If the filter is clogged or the air intake is covered, such as by your hand, during use, this will cause the machine to shut off to prevent over heating.

We would certainly not expect your machine to shut off without the power button being engaged. One tip I can recommend would be ensuring the filter inlet area is not covered by your hand while using Dyson Supersonic, as well as that the filter remain clean through regular routine maintenance. Please also note that, if Dyson Supersonic is purchased new and from an authorized retailer, Dyson does back your machine with a free 2-year guarantee. Our Supersonic is designed with the technology that minimal hair product is needed. If excess product (for example, hair spray, heat protectant, etc.) is used, it can create a straw-like texture, so should this happen, we recommend using less-or-no product.
When purchased from an authorized retailer, the Supersonic has a 2-year warranty, and our experts are always on standby by email, phone and live chat to assist with any issues you may face.

Better than I expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit at first i thought that this dryer was just a product of Dyson hype and you were spending a lot of money for just a name. But after using it for a while I would have to say I was wrong. This really is the best hair dryer i have ever used. There are three speed and heat settings and those work wonderfully. If I had any gripe about it it may be that the lowest airflow setting is still just a little too much air when i want very low airspeed but more heat. As far as heat goes this thing is perfect. I also like the attachments that are provided as they clip on magnetically and don't feel flimsy or like they are going to fall off.

When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair.

Maybe expensive but good investment

The warranty on these hair dryer is way better then any other dryer on the market. Overall this unit will give you many years of use with an excellent warranty that's incomparable to anything on the market. This Dyson has market leading features all the attachment are magnetic so no twist locking or having pieces broken over time. No ducktape fixes for this Dyson. You get the three main tools use for drying. I can see this being used by professional hair dresser. Even though it is expensive if your the type to go through dryers every three months spending about $30-70 bucks each time at least you'll have the comfort of owning this unit for a few years with a replacement guarantee from Dyson.
