I had my heart set on this dryer for a long time, but I couldn't justify buying it when I already had an expensive one. My dryer suddenly died a few weeks ago and I made a beeline for Best Buy to purchase this. I was thrilled when I found out that they had a special on this and I received a $50 gift card. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I love the white/silver color combination. I wanted just the silver one, but was told that was only for hair stylist professionals.

Easy to use and handle, doesnt damage alot with heat

Love it! Wish I would have purchased this before the Dyson air wrap. This dryer is great. Dries my hair fast and no fizz and I do not physically overheat myself while drying my hair:) Again if you are trying to decide between this and the air wrap . The dryer is the way to go. So nice to not need another shower after drying my way (due to sweating so much:)

It took me a long time to decide getting this hair dryer despite it have many good reviews because it is such a big investment. The hair dryer is heavy but it drys my long hair fast. Unfortunately, it died after I had it for 2 years and 3 weeks. Right after the 2 years warranty. I wanted to rescue it , I took it to the local Dyson store, they don’t do repairs and asked me to call the toll free customer service number and they can’t help and told me to get to the Dyson repair shop which is an hour drive to get diagnostic and told me the cord is not working. They can’t repair for me because the cord is out of stock and it Wii take 5-6 months for stocking and asked me to call back later. I tried to explain, it died shortly after warranty time and no room for exchange one at all. Now I have to get another new hair dryer. I paid this much and hoping it will last much longer than 2 years.

I love this hair dryer. I use some heat protectant and a dab of oil before drying and in less than 8 minutes my hair is straight enough that I don't need to use my flat iron. I have a lot of fine hair and don't dry on high as I get tangles. With a little practice you'll get the settings right for your hair. The only con for me is the price, but it's a Dyson so expect the best.

I have a lot of thick coarse wavy hair. My hair is not curly or wavy just big. I used to spend an hour drying my hair. Not in a good way. Best Buy had a sale on the Dyson and I couldn’t resist. Wow, used it for the first time and drying time was shorter. My hair was smooth and shiny. I would highly recommend this product. well worth the splurge.

My hairdresser used it at her salon and I bought one for myself. My hair does not fizz out with electricity like my previous regular hairdryer. I can focus on an area and it would style that area quickly. It is expensive but you get what you paid for. I own other Dyson products and have been very pleased with their product support.

Bought this hair dryer for my wife two years ago. Loved it until it stopped working while she was drying her hair last week. I brought it to Dyson and they took it in the back and returned a few minutes later with it completely back together and told me "one side of the motor is fried, as if there was an electrical surge." Unlikely since it has a built in surge suppressor...and in the 13 years in our house we haven't had this happen to any other appliance. He then told me that the newer models use a different motor and they don't have the old ones, so it can't be fixed. Plus, he said, since it's out of warranty, it would be around $250 minimum to fix even if they could. So he suggested buying a new one. While it worked, it did a great job. My wife has a lot of hair and with the motor in the handle, she was able to hold the dryer for longer to get her hair fully dry. We all know $400 is an absurd amount of money for a hair dryer. If it worked for 5+ years, it would have been worth it. But 2 years? Not hardly.

I was researching a lot before investing a lot of money on a hair dryer, but this blow dryer is amazing, worth every penny! I have extra long and very thick hair, it takes forever to dry and style. It made my hair so smooth, silky and straight. Didn’t burn my scalp while drying. I don’t even have to use Flat Iron anymore. Thank you Dyson❤️

great hair dryer, excellent quality, quieter than my old hair dryer and fast

I purchased this 2 years ago and it stopped working just before the warranty lapsed. I was supposed to get a replacement directly from Dyson, but it never arrived and their customer service is AWFUL so 2 months later and I’m still out a $400 hair dryer. While I loved it when it worked, the fact that a hair dryer this expensive doesn’t even last 2 years (and if it does stop working during the warranty period, you can’t trust customer service to actually ship a new one) makes it the worst financial mistake I’ve ever made. Save yourself the money!

Works well, but not lightweight.. which is tough for my wife who's a hairdresser

I read about this device. I accidentally tried it when a visiting a family member. I have a lot of fine hair. I spent 20 minutes blowing my hair dry with a normal blow dryer or 35 minutes styling it with a normal blow dryer. Now, I spend 6 minutes blow drying my hair or 12-16 minutes styling it. I never could have imagined what a difference this could make. Additionally, the cold shot button is on the back of the handle. At first, I did not like this, but found that instead of using a "trigger finger" motion to activate the cold button, I just need to squeeze the back of my palm against the handle and it activates the cold button without moving a finger. It is ingenious. I liked this so much, I bought a Dyson Heat & Cooling fan, and didn't think twice.

It was okay not that happy about finding it cheaper elsewhere and it came with a stand & could not return it because of the 15 days only you have to return. Also you cant remove the filter at the bottom to clean just have to pull it off still wrapped on the cord.
