I really wanted to love this. There is really nothing quite like it. I really thought this would be the best thing ever with all the technology it boasts, but unfortunately it was not. This thing absolutely dried the life out of my hair. It fell like straw, like I never put any product on my hair to begin with. I played with the air flow and heat settings to see if my results would change but it did not. I went back to my old dryer (Elchim 3900) and my hair started to come back to what it was before the Dyson. I stopped using the Dyson dryer all together and returned it as I did not want to risk further damaging my hair.

My husband bought this for me for Christmas and I love it! It cut my drying time from 45 minutes that it took with my other dryer (rusk speak freak) down to 8 minutes with the dyson! My hair feels softer, less frizzy, and it stayed feeling cleaner longer! Worth every penny!

It dries my hair much straighter. It still leaves static on thicker heads of hair. It is a little heavy. Its nice but not sure the cost vs value is there. Would be a better value at $99-149.

Let me be clear that the 4 star rating I am giving this is because of the results. It delivers on that but I find it cumbersome and awkward to handle, not making it worth the super high price. I was excited to get this for an early Christmas gift and especially because it included the case. I do love this dryer for the excellent results I have had. Smoother blowouts and the controllable airflow plus attachments make all the difference in the world. I use it on low or medium air flow with med heat to dry and low heat to style. Here are the cons for me: *Super awkward cord - too long and too heavy. It has a battery type pack thing on it and it constantly pulls the cord down, which then gets caught on the knobs of the cabinets and I'm constantly fighting for slack. Really annoying. *Handling this is strange. The weight isn't as nicely balanced due to the motor being in the handle and I find myself gripping on to the bottom of the handle which is where the intake fan is. *Placement of the cool button is in the totally wrong place. When you're drying, you cannot reach it with your thumb because it's on the outside of the handle, underneath the power button. You cannot easily press it with your finger, either. I find myself awkwardly pressing it with the side of my finger and then having to totally re-position my hand every time I use it. When I think about the fact that this is a $400 item, it's very difficult to justify when I am not fully enjoying the experience.

This dryer is the best ever, i take it everywhere and I’ve never had an issue with it until it blew out and stopped working completely. I contacted customer service and they were horrible with me. I cannot believe that’s how they handled a situation that was out of my control. Very disappointed in their professionalism. Other than that the product itself is beyond amazing. I had to go ahead and purchase a second dryer just to replace my first one, hoping that it doesnt give up on me again because i dont wanna go through what i did with my first one.

This hair drier is a life saver. It dried my hair so well, my hair started to fall off because it was so dry. It felt really nice in my hand, and i'm not talking about the hair drier. I would recommend this to anyone with very wet hair

Dyson supersonic hair dryer one of the best hair dryer in the market. I love using it every single day. Its just phenomenon. It Doesn't make loud noise like other hair dryers and it gets the job done very quickly.

4 stars because of its price. Got this for my daughter, she is happy with it and no complaints so far. REALLY WELL BUILD, the design of this dryer is outstanding. The only downside it is extremely expensive. If you can afford it buy it. Good product.

I can't say enough good things about this hair dryer! I have long, thick hair - which would previously take 20-30 minutes just to dry with a blow dryer. This made my morning routine take an hour plus, just to get out the door. This hair dryer dries my entire head in 5 minutes. I was shocked! I love it!! I have to learn how to manipulate the power settings so I can attempt a blow out on my hair - but until then, this baby has me sold! It's an investment, but with the time you'll save and with how long it'll last (Dyson is a GREAT brand), it's worth it.

I have very curly, processed hair. I never wear it curly. I have my cosmetology license and know how to round brush well, except when it comes to my own hair. I have always had to flat iron my hair following the use of my blow dryer, but not with this!! I am in love!! My fiancé bought me this and he was skeptical and honestly, I was as well. But this thing is a game changer. I don’t have to flat iron my hair after I use this. It’s truly incredible and it is so much quicker than my old blow dryer. It is worth every penny, especially if you have curly hair that you wear straight! Spend the money; you won’t regret it!

I was hesitant to buy this blow dryer because of the price. I read so many reviews and looked up YouTube videos on how it performed. I finally decided to get it, it’s a nicely designed blow dryer, fancy but I wasn’t buying it because of how it looked, I wasn’t even basing it on how fast it dried my hair. I was looking for something to reduce frizz and give my hair some nice shine. I used it twice, once on my whole head and another half my head with the Dyson and half with my old $20 drugstore dryer. There was not a huge difference. I didn’t do a blow out I just blow dried like normal and didn’t notice a difference compared to my cheaper dryer. I have a lot of hair it’s thick, frizzy, poofy and crazy when I blow dry. I returned this because I really don’t think it’s worth the price. If it was $200 less maybe I would consider it but because how cool it looks and how quiet it sounds.

Great product!! I purchased this as a surprise gift for my wife for Christmas, and she is ecstatic about it.

My hair dryer shorted out the first week I bought it. The cord had a short in it which I fixed by folding the cord and taping it together. I tried customer service and repair shop but they said they could not help because the warranty expired. Over priced, useless garbage from a company that doesn’t support its products. I will never buy a product from this group again, neither should you.

This is the third Dyson blow dryer I have purchased for my spouse. Ultimately they all just stop working with no rhyme or reason. Dyson won’t do anything about it so we end up on our own to completely replace it every time. I guess I’ll be looking for a different option this time around because I can’t support a company that doesn’t support its products.

Let me tell you what. No CAT 5 hurricane has anything on this bad boy. My wife used this for the first time the other day and when she came out of the bathroom she was bald. The hair was stuck to the wall due to the force of the wind. It blows hotter than surface of the sun but didn't fry a single strand. Great product if you're looking to do some serious drying.

Been using it for 30 days and I noticed less breakage. My hair is not as dry and brittle, and dries in half the time of a conventional dryer. Highly recommend !!

Best hair dryer ever, will never use another one. Need to pack it when I travel

I want to love this dryer, but it just doesn't get hot enough to get rid of my frizz. I use both the directed airflow attachment and the frizz control attachment, but it just doesn't get my hair as smooth as my old dryer that simply gets hotter. Today I dried half my hair with the Dyson and the other half with my old dryer. My family all chose the old dryer side.
