    Unfortunately didn't work well for me. After having multiple less expensive hair dryers stop working after about a year, I decided to invest in a more expensive option. I tried this dryer about 4 times and even bought a specific brush to counteract the stringy feeling my hair kept getting. I ended up returning this blow dryer because it did not cut down on any prep time for me, and didn't seem to work any better than any other blow dryer that I have had.

    BUYER BEWARE: Product is Flawed

    Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer purchased for holiday gift. Opened box, plugged in, ran for 5 seconds then 3 blinking red dots. Book says to call Dyson Contact Center. Price point on this product is way too high to have it not work right out the box. This is the same issue many others have had. Dyson usually responds with CLOGGED Filter or Hand over the filter. This is NOT the case as filter is clean and never used, and tested 5 times with no cover over filter or hand over it. PRODUCT IS MALFUNCTIONING and obviously flawed design. Very disappointed considering its a Dyson. Back to Best BUY as product is non-functioning and customer support is not available until 8AM Central time.

A red blinking light usually indicates a voltage issue. It is possible the outlet in which it is being used is not supported.

    Why can't Dyson have all the colors available through Best Buy? I bought my daughter the perussion blue/copper flat iron and need the matching hair dryer.

      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Some colorways of the Dyson Supersonic are Dyson website exclusive colors. In those instances, that particular colorway or matching accessories may only be available from Dyson direct.

    My experience was very good today and I am very thankful to the employee name MarkAnthony for helping me and for have patience when I couldn’t find the product that I wanted to buy. Mark Anthony is a very good employee. He’s very kind and has a lot of patience for people.

    About a year after purchasing this it started to turn off in the middle of being used. We performed all of the appropriate cleaning and recommendations for proper use and it has the same problem. Unfortunately we missed out on the warranty timeline. When it works it is great but it almost always has to be turned on and off multiple times for my wife to dry her hair fully.

    After reading a lot about this "game changer" hair dryer I went to best buy with the intention of replacing my old good babyliss pro RAPIDO. My hair is THICK, strong and hard to blow dry. So I need something powerful. The only reason I returned it was because I blow dried half of my hair with dyson and the other with RAPIDO. Dyson is quicker than RAPIDO, however when I finished looked like my fingers could not go through the side of dyson. No balance, no shine. My Rápido was slower, but hair looked beautiful shiny blowdried. Dyson cost $400 while RAPIDO $189.

    This hair dryer was great at first. Then after about 8 months, the filter gets full of lint. Cleaned it out after youtube videos. Lasted one year before it stared overheating and shutting off. Only worked while in the lowest setting and lowest heat. Total life span about 2 years.

    Ive spent most of my life fighting my curly hair. Since purchasing the dyson, ive been able to stop using costly keratin treatments! My hair is dry, smooth and so shiny in TEN minutes, its a lifesaver!

    It Ain’t It

    While I love the end result, I cannot recommend this dryer to anyone. Seven months in, my dryer stopped working. I take good care of it and clean the filter constantly. Luckily I’m in the warranty window still so I will be getting a replacement. However, I don’t feel confident that the replacement will last longer than the first one. It’s absurd they charge so much money for a subpar product. If it actually lasted years, I wouldn’t mind shelling out that kind of money. I wish returning it and getting my money back was an option because I’d definitely take that route instead.

    Just stops working

    This hair dryer just stopped powering on after light use. The product was a few years old but after several phone calls the only resolution that was offered was for me to buy a new one or a refurbished one at retail cost. I'd avoid buying this.

    Diffuser won’t attach

    It appears that my daughter spent a lot of money for this gift for me and the diffuser doesn’t have the magnetic attachment. Respectfully, I know that mistakes happen but when you spend this kind of money from a company like Dyson, you would expect quality control to be better. Now I fear it will be a hassle to replace.

    I will never buy another Dyson product. They are very expensive and Dyson does not stand behind them when they fail. They will act like they care cause you to spend lots of time on the phone and mailing the product in to them only for them to do nothing but call regularly and ask what the status is.

    Common to stop working after 2 years

    Such a huge disappointment!!!!! Too pricey for a 2-3 year lifespan. Loved the hair dryer... when it was working. Shortly after the 2 year warranty was up (by 2 months) it died!! Upon researching online for a fix, I found that it was extremely common. Many stories just like mine. Yes, it was maintained and only light to average use. Taking it for repair was pricey and not economical and customer service can only offer you a 10% discount on a new one if you send it in. (Wow!) Really expected more from Dyson

    Dont buy. Will die after 2 years.

    Bought this for my wife. She used it maybe 2 times a week. 2 years later its dead. Conveniently right after warranty ran out. Took it to a dyson repair shop and they want $200 to replace the motor which MIGHT be dead. They won't even confirm its the motor. Useless junk. Checked online and there are so many people with the same problem. Don't waste your money.
