It will die and you can't fix it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got off the phone with a Dyson service rep. I told her my dryer stopped working. She asked me when was the last time I cleaned the filter and how I cleaned it. I told her I just cleaned it (and I clean it regularly) with a toothbrush. She told me to try to clean it again and if the dryer didn't work after that, there was nothing they could do because that's the only problem they have with the dryers and they don't service them. So I said, You mean to tell me I should just throw it away and I'm out $400? And she said Yes. Wow, I can't believe a dryer that cost that much would only last as little more than 2 years. And it's not like I used it every day. I've had dryers I've purchased at Target that lasted longer than that. Even if my warranty expired, they could at least offer to fix it for a price. What a complete waste of money. I can buy 10 dryers for $40 each and it would probably last a lifetime.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure this is better than a cheap blow dryer but if you compare it to a T3 for example it is not worth the extra money. The way it is weighted hurts my wrist. It is uncomfortable. I also have to put it on the lowest settings or my hair is kind of frizzy and I am blowdrying it in pieces with a round brush. Nothing revolutionary here. Just hype.

It is also the only manufactured hair dryer with the motor in the handle. This helps shift its center of gravity to feel balanced while holding the dryer and styling your hair.
While everyone is different, we certainly wouldn't expect hair to become fried or frizzy as a result of using Dyson Supersonic. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer will feature intelligent heat control, which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. This helps prevent extreme heat damage and protects hair's natural shine. It also will feature negative ions to help prevent hair from becoming frizzy. One quick tip I would recommend, as outlined in our Dyson Supersonic support videos, will be using the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair, this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. Please also note that each heat and airflow setting is designed to provide varying outcomes depending on the style you have in mind for any particular drying session.

We have the stylist professional version of this and with normal daily use the dryer stand’s magnetic hold is not strong enough and the dryer slips and falls. It has caused the dryer to fall to the ground and damage the machine. The stand is poorly designed.

Went out 1 year after having

Christmas of 2018 I had to send it in for repair due to it stopped working, said it was my fault for not cleaning out the filter... Which is not true. I cleaned the filter after every use due to it being $400 hair dryer and I did not want to have to tell my husband it broke... So I called Dyson and made a claim on my 1 year old hair dryer bought brand new from Best Buy, so I sent it off took 2 weeks to get back and then it is now not working again Christmas 2019... I was in the middle of drying my hair and it went out again.... It did not have anything in the filter as I clean it every time I dry my hair. So when I called Dyson this time they preceded to tell me that there is no warranty on a refurbished hair dryer and the time on that is out to have it fixed... #1 my husband bought it brand new and it went out only 1 year of having it... It's refurbished due to your product... So now I have nothing except -$400. I told him I didn't mind him buying Dyson in the beginning because of the brand and how good the reviews are.... Well I stand corrected... Will NEVER buy a Dyson anything again....
