The heat is great, cool and ease of using cool button is great, however. the cord is super huge an heavy and this hairdyer ( including the cord weight) easily outweighs my other hairdryer by 2 - 3 times, so not good on my hands or wrist whilst trying to dry my hair. I am sad to return it, but will today. If you come out with a dryer that has a normal sized and weighted cord, please let me know. I am suspecting this will be the next upgrade. Definitely not worth more than $100, if that.

What a waste.

Of course it die the day after the warranty expired. Took it to Dyson service Center and they say they can’t do anything about it but tell me to buy a new one. What a joke. It was great when it didn’t work. That’s all I can said.

Hideous frizzy mess - so disappointed

And oh what a mess my hair was! Even a flat iron afterward could barely fix it. I'm giving 2 stars - only because the dryer itself looks so nice, unfortunately I need my hair to look better than the dryer. I will leave this thing to the professionals. Mine has to go back.

Starts cutting off on you

The hair dryer has been cutting off on me for no reason for the past 3 months. I have cleaned the filter. No luck, even though its clean as clean can get. I thought it was over heating, but it is cutting off now on the coolest setting at least 5 times during drying my hair. I can't even get my hair dry now with this dryer. I expect a lot more from a $400 hair dryer.

When you add it to your cart, you have the option of choosing different colors. If you change the color, the stand is NOT included. I have the option of returning it by mail or at the store when it becomes available (16 days from now). How disappointing! All of this could have been avoided if Best Buy stated that it only included the stand in fuchsia, or alerted me that changing the color would lose the stand. Bad marketing.

I do not use the hair dryer everyday and maybe use it 2-3 times a week! Took it to the Dyson Repair center and noticed two other customers in line with similar issues with the hair dryer. Techniciann said that it could not be repaired as they have no parts for it. He suggested buying another one!

Do some research and you'll see there are a lot of design flaws to this machine. It's not worth the money for a hunk of plastic that turns into a paper weight. Customer service informed me that my only option was to pay to have it repaired. Yay...

Blows Hair Everywhere

I have fine hair & on low it just blew all my hair all over & tangled it terribly. I even tried the attachments, but it didn’t help. Low is too high, but then the high is too low when wanting high!! There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

Dyson customer service sent me in circles to decipher the issue ask the same questions over and over. Now it’s going to take a month to replace. Save the box for a bit, it will definitely break or not work.

Horrible product. Don’t waste your money.

The dry time takes just as long as other dryers, the cord is bulky which makes it hard to store, and you have to clean the filter every week. I get frustrated every time I use it.
