I purchased this as a birthday present for my wife. She has multiple friends who have one and they constantly rave about it. She never wanted to spend the money on one because she couldn't see how it could possibly be worth the money. She was wrong! She loves it, it never gets super hot, it cuts the drying time in half, which also benefits me....

I orignially bought the airwarp, but wasn't willing to learn how to use it, so I got the hair dryer instead and I love it. It is way more powerful than the attachment for the airwarp although the airwarp comes with a different attachments. IF you want something that is strong and comes with a nice diffuser this is it.

Of course a consumer is going to pay more for a Dyson product and it does dry your hair faster than a conventional hair dryer but I found this hair dryer to be so heavy. I have long hair and it doesn't take too long for my arm to get sore or tired from drying my hair. It probably isn't possible to make it lighter but if Dyson could make it lighter, it would be fantastic. It is an Ionic hair dryer so it doesn't take as long to dry your hair and I believe it is easier on your hair as well - probably why I was willing to pay more for the hair dryer.

Prior to purchasing the dyson hair dryer, we were using a “standard” hair dryer. While much more expensive, the benefits are immediately noticeable. Less frizz, straighter hair, quicker drying - all with less worry of the burning sensation that often comes with standard hair dryers.

I know the price is high, buy my wife and daughter both love this hair dryer. They said it changes the feel of their hair vs the old cheapy hair dryer they had before.
