I got this for Mother's Day would have never purchased it for myself because of the price. After using it I will never go back to a $35 hair dryer again. This drys my hair faster and is much more quieter they any hair dryer I have had befor. If His was to break I definitely would buy another.

I’ve got far too little hair left to be a reliable reviewer of a hairdryer. So, this is all about my dear wife’s experience with the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer. We’ve all grown up with the expectation that a hairdryer needs to be very hot, noisy, heavy and awkward to use if it’s going to be effective. Dyson is out to prove that at least some of these traits can be overcome. We think they’ve got a winner on a number of counts. This is a product that oozes quality beginning with the packaging, to the feel in your hand, all the way to the appearance sitting on your countertop. It is as quiet as the best of the competition, but it doesn’t set a new standard . . . measuring 81dB on high in our small bathroom. This matches a highly regarded competing dryer, known for its low noise levels, that we’ve used for a few months. It’s very easy to use with nifty attachments that snap on with a strong magnetic pull in any orientation. It’s colorful, with a unique look, and great balance in the hand. It’s weight seems fairly typical, but it is quite comfortable because it’s concentrated in a device that has practically no weight extending horizontally. Control buttons are conveniently placed and include temperature and speed settings that make sense, even if they are somewhat smaller than on some competitiors. What about the hair drying? This is a great dryer by every subjective measure. It does seem to employ lower heat with easily swapped attachments likely resulting in less hair damage. My wife’s shoulder length, medium coarse, thick hair was dried quickly with a smooth finish. Frizz was minimized. But, it’s not magically modifying hair quality . . . at least to our touch and sight. And, this all comes at a high price. if you call yourself a strict value shopper, you may have to turn in your credentials if you are not already looking elsewhere. On the other hand, if you can afford the best of modern design and an extra effort at unique engineering, you will not be disappointed. We love our Dyson quite a bit but we also acknowledge that this is quite an indulgence for a hair dryer.

I bought this hairdryer for my wife and daughter to try out. They were both amazed how good it is with doing different hair styles. Can't go wrong with this one

Bought this for my wife to replace her Chi hair dryer and this thing blows it away. She says her hair takes no time to dry now and it does not give the hair a dry brittle feel. Her hair is always soft and shiny no matter what shampoo she uses.

I am curious as to some of these reviews honestly that gave this product a low rating. I have had this product for almost a month and have and have had a chance to use this on my hair extensions and my natural hair as it works perfectly. I am a African American female with natural unprocessed hair and this dryer is not only fast but has my hair looking healthy and has lots of body. I was very hesitant on buying this product not only for the expensive price tag but also the mixed reviews. I can only suggest that whoever is considering purchasing this hair dryer is to try it out on there own hair first before settling for other folks negatives reviews of it. I think most took it back simply because it cost too much and couldn’t justify spending that much money on a dryer and I totally get that. But if you do have the money to spend on a hair dryer that will probably last i definitely recommend this product!!

Hair dries quickly and product quality is really good.

My wife has a tremendous amount of hair density and would take FOREVER to dry her hair. This has cut that time in half. Also, her hair looks and feels less damaged. An amazing product, even for the cost. It is worth every penny.

Works excellent and drys your hair in half the time. Great purchase but definitely a luxury item.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife and it works as promised. Runs quiet, dries faster than other hair dryers. Expensive for a hair dryer however, it should last for a very long time.

Expensive, but seems to be a quality product, like other Dysin products. Got it for my gf and she says it dries her hair in half the time a normal dryer would. Time is money, so this is worth it in the long run.

Worth the price, I don’t have to style my hair too much after drying it with the flyaway detachment. I also love that it’s not as noisy as other hair dryers.

This is an indulgent buy for sure but well worth the price. It is small, compact and powerful. The attachments all offer different styling techniques. Would recommend!

In general I like it although I must admit that since it is not the rotating cable it is a little uncomfortable and in particular this color hurts my eyesight

This product is a dyson, so you’re getting the quality that’s expected. Comparable to the power in the hand dryers in public restrooms, this hair dryer uses force that allows hair to dry faster and with les heat. Saves time and damage. Highly suggest. Life changing.

Great hair dryer! Has made such a difference in the quality and health of my hair. Easy to get a master blow out cause it is so much easier to handle than a normal dryer, also drys your hair super quick! Love it!

Love my dyson! Blow dryers my hair in no time at all! The attachments are easy to use as well. My hair doesn’t feel fried every time I blow dry my hair and feels so much more healthy

I love this blow dryer. I call it my space ship. So high tech. It is quiet and dries my hair quickly and safely. I can’t believe I lived without it for so long. Total game changer here….

The Dyson hair dryer is the best hair dryer on the market. It leaves hair frizz free and comes with attachments for all hair types. The only problem that I have is the price of the hair dryer. It should come with a carrying case that is offered on the Dyson website. Overall, excellent product!
