Instead, my hair is dry (like straw) and tangles easily after use. The only positive thing I have to say is the flyaway attachment is useful.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your frustration with your Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. Because of the intelligent heat control, the Dyson Supersonic doesn't require much, if any, heat protectant. Excessive product in the hair before blow drying can cause a straw like texture. Because of this, we recommend using very minimal to no product in the hair when blow drying to ensure a smooth, soft finish.

If you want cheap, you'll get junk. Dyson is top notch engineering and tech that lasts you for years without fail. I too was initially hesitant about the price for a freaking hairdryer, but I am now a believer in this hairdryer, my wife is blown away by the performance, no pun intended
