Good but I could've had it cheaper

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was happy to be able to buy it for my wife for her birthday but shortly a week after it went on sale for 100 cheaper and when i tried to get price matched they couldnt do it and i had to keep on trying over and over until i just had to give up since i cant just take a gift out of someones hand and return to do a stupid transation again. It would've been a 5 star experience if i actually got to see price match in action, but I guess it's not 100% guaranteed

Not what I hoped for

After my 13 year old $200 hair dryer broke recently I decided to try this beautiful dryer. Sadly and strangely my hair texture felt dry after blowing out my hair with this. I read some other people complaining of the same issue on Reddit (as well as one or two reviews elsewhere). Despite its impressive speeds/engineered capabilities in a lab, it just didn’t translate into an actual good experience. Usually with my old dryer, which also had ionic releasing features, my curly hair would always come out silky smooth. With this one it felt coarser and stiffer/almost brittle dry. Nothing else had changed. Can’t justify $400 for this kind of styling.

The color is fun and the attachments are worth it. They have thick hair so drying time is longer than most and her scalp never got hot.

This one is great, besides the color options. It auto senses the surface of where its aiming and takes care to not burn skin. Its a cool variant of the original. I wouldn’t recommend upgrading unless yours stops working.
