This is the absolute best vacuum I have ever owned. Its extra space on the main head gives you more than enough power to clean an entire house. It comes with two batteries so you can easily replace it and charge the second while you clean. Cordless, powerful, and easy to empty.

Wow! This thing can vacuum!! Now, before you say it’s expensive, heavy, and big — I took all those things into consideration and still bought it! Why? I needed something with power to vacuum after pets, messy eaters, and well, dust. You bet it does all these things and it does them really well. Got a dirty SUV? The Outsize will definitely help out there! Stairs? You bet! The attachments are good, too! Put them to use immediately! My couch has never been so perky and clean! However, like I said, the Outsize is big and heavy, so fair warning!

I had to replace our old Dyson V7 and went with this beast. The charge lasts forever and the suction is beyond my expectations. It's a bit large, unwieldy, and heavy, so it can get tiring after a while, but it still beats the heck out of messing with plugging and unplugging a cord throughout the house. The slide-to-dump the canister was a nice improvement. The wall mount was easy to install, and the extra battery a nice bonus, since that's what seems to always be the reason why I need a new Dyson. The cost of a genuine battery replacement for my V7 was almost as much as the current cost of the V7 itself! Non-OEM replacement batteries never work for long, unfortunately.

    Dyson V11 Outsize

First the price is worth it and I never thought I would come to the opinion that the price here is actually worth the value, however this vacuum is definitely worth the price you pay. The saying goes you get what you pay for and Dyson is quality. I have not been paid for this review it is my honest opinion. I purchased the Dyson V11 Torque and upgraded to the Dyson V11 Outsize, because there are a variety of vacuums I've tried numerous brands over the years and this Dyson definitely stands far above the rest even better than my 30 year Kirby by the way still works and very very heavy. The vacuum performance is where the Dyson V11 outsize shines and sets itself apart as being A cordless Full-size bin, Full-size cleaner head, Twice the suction of any other cordless vacuum and Up to 120 minutes of fade-free run time. The full-size High Torque XL cleaner head covers 25% more floor with each sweep than my Dyson V11 Torque Drive vacuum, for faster room cleaning. Trust me for those who say it is heavy, it is not. It’s only about .5 pounds heavier than the V11 Torque. I love the Click-in battery pack Remove and replace at the press of a button for even longer cleans. Click-in batteries can be charged on or off the machine which is a great feature. Dyson DLS™ technology automatically senses and adapts to changes in floor type to extend run time. The right balance of power and run time when you need it.  Extra tools for a variety of tasks 5 Dyson engineered tools for versatile whole-home and car cleaning. Including the mini-motorized tool for removing pet hair from upholstery and tight spaces.  Point and shoot’ hygienic bin emptying The 0.5-gallon bin’s ‘point and shoot’ mechanism wipes the silicone collar down the chemically-etched shroud in a single action, driving out dust hygienically. Drop-in docking The Dyson V11™ vacuum drops into the wall-mounted dock, to charge it and tidily store tools. So it’s ready to grab and go. The price is worth it, if money is no object go for it. If you can get it on sale even better. You won’t regret it. In anything you purchase some people will always have negative things to say you can’t please everybody. Even when I purchased a Nikon D850 very very high ratings , however you still had some people with negative reviews to say something bad about the D850. So you will just have to make up your own opinion about it, just as I have and I love that it’s a cordless and a very powerful vacuum cleaner. No more cords!!!

The Dyson V11 Outsize is very powerful. I can multiple carpeted rooms and it holds a charge. This is much better than the Dyson V7 Cordless which I had prior to this. I could only do a small portion of the carpet with the V7 before needing to recharge. I also used to have to stick something up the chamber to get the debris around the filter out. But no more...emptying the V11 is a breeze with the ‘Point and shoot’ hygienic bin feature. It also comes with many different tools to clean your whole house and car with. It is heavy due to the size of the vacuum.

Excellent “stick” vacuum with regards to suction power, wider floor attachment that covers more area per sweep of the vacuum, longer run time (batteries are removable and it comes with two batteries to start with), and larger dirt bin so I don’t have to stop, go to the garbage can, and empty it as often. The only downside is that it is on the larger side. It would be too heavy and awkward for my elderly mom. She prefers any of the V7, V8, V10 instead of using the V11,when she comes over.

Very powerful and good replacement for regular vacuum. Is a bit heavy and requires some extra oomph when using on medium pile carpets. On full max power it lasts about 13 minutes which is plenty to do my whole house. Also has an extra battery, have not had to use it so far. Would recommend mounting it to a stud and not just drywall anchors, it has pulled out before due to its weight. You get what you pay for which is strong suction, great container, and ease of use.

This is a brilliant execution on the vacuums that had proceeded it. Very expensive, but well worth the cost. On ECO mode it will swipe a house easily. It’s not light weight, but easier to handle than the stand vacuums, and are for mobile. Good collection of attachments. Long term customers will be impressed that all past attachments will work (a real amazing act on Dyson). This critter has power and finesse. Highly recommend!

Finally a vacuum that conquers my problems

I've tried many vacuums - expensive ones - and none of them were great at the things I needed. They need you to change heads to go from hard floors to carpets or pet and human hair wound around the roller so tightly you had to cut it off or they just scatter kitty litter and drop some back on the floor when you turn it off. This vacuum has done everything so well it kind of scares me. It adjusts by itself for the changes in floor type. It picks hair up great and this model holds a lot so you don't have to empty the bin every 5 minutes. It picks up kitty litter without scattering it. The battery life is great BUT if you should be running out of time (which is displayed on the head) you can just swap out the battery for one you've had charging. I had a Shark Ion-Flex 2x with swapable batteries and it was useless for cleaning. That company said too bad all we can do is replace it with the same thing. I tried that and the 2nd one was just as terrible. The only cons are that it is a little heavy because of the extra large dirt bin and full size vacuum head, and you push it across the carpet rather than it propelling itself. I'm not wild about it turning off if you let go of the trigger. The job it has done cleaning is well worth the minor cons. Also you don't have to mount this one in order to charge it. Each battery has a port that you plug a charger into. You can have them both out of the vacuum charging or leave the one in and plug in the charger. If this machine turns out to be reliable and lasting I'll be tickled to death with it. Emptying the dirt bin is a breeze and the method ensures that everything comes out. No reaching in to pull things out. It's expensive but worth it.

Can cordless vacuums replace my corded upright?

    |

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

On my search to find the perfect cordless vacuum, I’ve learned that right now (in my household) these vacuums cannot fully replace a corded upright with a hose. As prices sky rocket on these machines, I’m starting to realize that maybe I need to stick with investing more into a solid corded machine until going 100% cordless makes sense for me. Granted, yes.. it’s cordless. But at the price of being limited on cleaning time, suction and usability.. I’d rather wrap the cord. My review is based on my biased. If you are an avid cordless cleaner my review may not offer much help. However, if you are like myself and contemplating the transition.. here’s my experience. This vacuum was everything I hoped for in a cordless vacuum with a couple of flaws that I could not live with. Pros: -Build quality, craftsmanship: from the dust bin, to ergonomics (except for above ground cleaning) -suction: as most cordless vacuums, there is a huge difference between the power settings. High power was great though -two batteries -ability to clip tools on the vacuum (kinda rare in this market) -timer for how fast you need to clean your house lol -it got the dirt out of carpet, and my couch was sparkling Cons: - try vacuuming a ceiling fan with this bad boy.. If Dyson offered an attachable hose (in the box), the price would make a bit more sense for me. The photos and advertisements make it seem like attaching the brush at the end of the wand would really make this a versatile machine. But trying to aim this machine at the fan to clean the dust felt super awkward for me. -the floor tool was not ideal for my hard wood surfaces. Yes it did a good job, no there was not signs of scratching.. but it still gave me a sense of anxiety not having a soft roller. At the bottom of the torque head there was a soft plastic seal that caught a lot of sand and carried it along the ride. (I wish the soft roller was still an option when purchasing) -the vacuum does not come with a floor stand like the LG cord zero/Samsung Jet 90 (just like with the hose, this can be purchased separately but for $700.00 why not include it to begin with?) - the Digital screen was not as vibrant as the photos make it seem. Think back to the small notification screens on the early flip phones.. yes it’s a vacuum, yes it’s helpful, it’s not a really big deal.. but I felt a bit bamboozled thinking this was going to a modern looking high definition screen, instead of a washed out notification display. -the power switch cannot be locked, you have to hold the trigger to keep the vacuum running -no led headlights I think the regular V11 torque is a good middle man, with more usability due to size. The outsize vacuum would be great for houses with mostly carpet and if you have a second vacuum (with a hose) for cleaning ceiling fans. I would not recommend this unit for people with smaller living spaces, delicate hard floors, and a lot of above ground surfaces to clean. I regret not going for the regular V11 torque drive.

This is my first Dyson purchase and it does not disappoint. The V11 Outsize is perfect for long runs in home with mostly Tile and Hardwoods. I can't imagine having the "regular" sized Dyson because this baby fills up fast. Great Power, Easy to Use, Just a little heavy after doing the whole 3000 sq ft house. Oh and the extra battery is an absolute must. Only one drawback for me is cant really use it one rugs too well and also its pretty middle of the road for carpet in my own opinion. That's why I give it 4 stars.

We bought the V11 when we thought our V10 was about to die. The V11 weighs about 2 pounds more, so it is noticeable when carrying it on stairs or using it for more than 40 minutes or so. It has a larger dirt container, it is more powerful and runs quieter on medium and dies just as good a jiob, the battery lasts at least twice as long and can be replaced by an included second battery and charger if needed. Quality is very high with Dyson and I will never buy a corded vacuum again after using these.

    Big Upgrade from V6

We purchased this to replace our old V6. What an upgrade and worth every penny. There are a few things that will take a little getting used it. This sucker is big, and it is heavy. Coming from a V6 this was a significant jump in size and weight, we are already getting used to it though. Now with the positive, first the red looks really good. We have two labs that shed a lot, so most of this will focus on our big living room rug they lay on. Our old v6 would fill up about halfway through the rug (if not get jammed with hair quicker). It seemed to do a decent job. We vacuumed the rug the day before we got this. Took this home and vacuumed, you can immediately feel the suction power, it almost makes it hard to push to sucks so hard. To this point, we filled about half the canister with dog hair/dirt/dander that the v6 couldn't get the day before. On top of this our rug went from looking faded to having a bright color again. Even our plug in DC41 didn't do as good as the V11. All in all it is more difficult to use than the V6 (heavy, bigger, harder to push) but it does the job so much better. Oh and dumping it is light years better than the V6.

100 stars. This machine SUCKS ... sooooo well. Truly versatile. Battery lasts forever. Great for whole house. Only thing to note is that it’s a bit heavier than earlier models due to the extra power in the motor and extra battery. Also it’s a bit pricey. Still it’s easy to use and will be a perfect fit for most people.

Best cordless vacuum on the market

If you have a bigger house, I highly recommend the Dyson V11 outsized. The swappable battery packs, adjustable power settings, attachments and ease of use make this the top cordless vacuum on the market. We tried a shark ion before purchasing this Dyson V11 outsized. There currently is no better cordless vacuum on the market in terms of power/suction. Of note suction wasn't too bad on the shark, but the rollers clogged up with hair quickly. The dyson does collect some hair on the rollers, but it seems to be less of problem (still have the fun of trimming the hair out after a few uses though - only our corded shark with zero-M avoids this almost entirely). The battery packs definitely last for a 4000sq ft house. We use this V11 outsized several times weekly for quick cleanings all around the house. Is it worth the crazy high full price? I would say no. If you have some coupons, gift cards or other means of getting the price down a couple of hundred bucks, I think it is worth the purchase.

I’ve only had this Dyson for 3 weeks now, but I’m in love with it!! It’s has replaced my downstairs vacuum! I love it’s ability to adjust the suction when transitioning from carpet to hard surfaces. The boost feature makes it really hard to push in carpet due to the amount of suction power. It even sucks Up Legos! I did find that it is a little cumbersome when switching tools due to the increased bulk of the canister and the increased weight of the machine. I will definitely be ordering the extension from Dyson because the canister makes it hard to use the crevice tool and get into small spaces. This is my second Dyson and I love the option for batteries to clip in and out easily. If you are looking and researching I highly recommend getting a model with the ability to have an extra battery and be able to clip it in and out. I wish my V7 model had that option.

I wanted a cordless vacuum cleaner. The V11 had the best rating for vacuum power and battery life due to its intelligent power management. Each battery exceeds the rating and gives over 30 min operating time. On some solid surfaces the vacuum seems minimal but does manage to pick up most things. The main hand unit is a little heavy but has a lot of useful attachments and configurations. Some attachments have a slightly wobbly feel and suction is not optimal on some attachments.

I bought this particular unit because of the ease of swapping batteries. The suction is excellent and its refuse container is large enough for us to vacuum entire house before emptying it. That is another high point, emptying the dirt bin is almost fun to do. No touching needed and it happens in a split second. Just be sure it is over and a little below rim of garbage can because it shoots out with force. We have given away our upright Hoover and now only use the V11 Outsize for everything. So far one battery charge has lasted for vacuuming our entire 2600 sq ft house, only our MB has carpet and a medium area rug in family room. Rest of house is tile or wood flooring. The unit is a little heavy, but is well balanced when long tube carpet sweeper is attached an not to fatiquing to use.

The Dyson V11 Outsize Cordless Vacuum is the fourth Dyson cordless vacuum I have owned. Compared to the Cyclone, the V11 Outsize is larger, more powerful and significantly quieter than its predecessor. At first the large size took some getting used to, but the weight of the unit is reasonable, and its ability to pick up dirt and animal fur makes the larger size reasonable. Perhaps the biggest selling point is that the V11 is the extended battery life. On the Medium setting, it is easy to get 45 minutes per battery. The fact that it comes with 2 batteries makes it possible to clean the entire house, unlike the earlier models. I noticed that some of the other reviews noted that the unit does not stand up on its own, turns off when you take your finger off the trigger and seems less durable than a standard vacuum. While this is true, these are not features of a standard cordless vacuum. Of all of the cordless vacuums I have used, Dyson still has the best cleaners in the category. If you are looking for something that is portable, convenient and portable and are willing to give up the durability and limitless power of a plug in model, you will be happy with the Dyson V11.

At first I had conflicting feelings about the size and the cost of this vacuum cleaner. I vacuumed my house just once and all the negative feelings disappeared! I no longer have to use my corded Dyson vacuum cleaner; the cleaner head and the bin are exact same size and the suction power is comparable! Vacuuming a big house using this cordless Dyson outsize is a breeze! I can see that the size of it is a positive and a negative at once. If you have a small house or you have trouble handling 8 pounds you may want to save some money and go for a smaller model; if not, this is an EXCELLENT purchase that cuts your vacuuming time in half! ... and the gym time!
