It is good on the regular rug on high power. Quieter than I expected. Easy to empty the container and am so glad it doesn't need a bag.

Easy and convenient

The Downside was that the battery life should be a bit longer, orher than that recommend.

WORTHLESS DO NOT BUY

It is difficult to take the stick off to put an attachment on. The attachment doesn't do what it should because it is too short to reach because of the battery. It gets all the material stuck in it all the time and there is not an easy way to get it out. You may as well just pickk up every thing on your carpet by hand- it would do better. If you have a pet, which we don't, I couldn't even imagine. My fault for buying a Dyson- as they make horrible, expensive, products. Do yourself a favor and get a plug in shark- worked for years until the cord started to fray.
