This is my family's first vaccum of this type. I do a majorly of the vaccuming in our home, and I wanted something more maneuverable than our Dyson upright, especially for use on our stairs. It also had to have plenty of power- we have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a toddler. We have hardwood, tile, and engineered flooring in our home. I have used this vaccum on every flooring surface we have, with fantastic results! Most of the time I've used eco mode, with exceptional results. I love the ability to convert over to a handheld- made cleaning our carpeted stairs and furniture much easier. My only complaint is that the dust bin is fairly small, but the power it has makes up for it. Battery life is great- 60+ minutes of clean time is outstanding. Our home is 2100 sq ft. andwas fairly dirty (one of our dogs is a shepherd mix, aka a shedding machine). I had plenty of time to get most of the house done on 1 charge- including on/under furniture. Another note- it does take quite a while for the battery to fully charge. To combat this, I make sure to charge after it's fully depleted, that way I'll have a full battery the next time I pick it up. I know some people don't like that the vaccum is trigger activated. I personally like it, as it preserves the battery when moving things that I want to vaccum under. I also know that some complained about the weight of the unit. Personally, this is not an issue for me. It is much lighter than anything else I've ever used. This vaccum may be pricey, but it makes up for it in performance and attachments that come with it.

The Dyson vacuum cleaner is very powerful and easy to use. It picks up dust, pet hair, and small debris really well, even from carpets. I recently purchased the Dyson V11 Torque Drive vacuum from Best Buy, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This vacuum is a game-changer for household cleaning. It is lighter and more balanced than it looks. It is wonderful, and powerful and east to clean, even with my cats. It modulates quickly and easily, makes getting to the sofa cracks too easy to put off till next time. It just works, I love it.

Lightweight and good run time (can easily do an entire floor of the house with charge to spare) and pickup on a full charge. Nice to have the ability to hinge the shaft, although we haven't really had a need to use that feature. One slight disappointment is that it isn't balanced and able to stand with the shaft straight - to stand upright independently requires that you fold the shaft, which does make it shorter and perhaps fit in linen closets with shelves? Finally, it would be nice if you could turn off the beater bar, which helps with the powerful suction to lift light rigs and get caught. But, I am glad it does have the powerful suction to do that!

Best vacuum cleaner I ever owned. Does an excellent job picking up dirt ground into the carpet and bits on the hard floors. Very easy to use. I installed the docking station in my kitchen where I see it all the time which makes it very convenient to grab it off the wall and get to the job keeping the floors clean. This machine was well worth the buckage & I highly recommend it to anybody. It comes with a nice selection of tool attachments. Battery life is not an issue. Seriously, how many people actually run a vacuum cleaner for more than 35 minutes. If you do, then you need a plug-in model. What I like about the motor head is that it doesn't get all tangled up with long hairs like my Kenmore canister vac does.

Great Dyson Vacumum. Everyone in my family has one now. This vacuum has a great battery and suction. Very light and portable as well.

Using this Dyson Vacuum for the first time was a pleasant surprise. It is the most expensive vacuum we ever bought, but it is worth the cost and more. We can vacuum our 3BR home hard wood floors 2x with one charge in ECO mode. It thoroughly picks up dust, fur, undercoat fur, cat fur, and everything else not glued to the floor. Boost Mode can suck the soul out of a person. I used the soft brushing implement to clean inside my computer case and it now looks like new. The Pet Groomer appliance is also great and the dog loves it, although our cats do not. Did I mention it is quiet in ECO Mode? You can vacuum while others tik-tok without moaning and groaning from them. Beware the cannister fills fast if you live in a high critter traffic abode like ours, but dumping the yuck is easy, fast and neat.

Works beautifully, lightweight and easy to handle, strong suction picks everything up and easier to empty than we thought. Has taken the place of a robot vacuum as it is so easy to use and reaches all the spots.

Always wanted to get a Dyson stick vacuum and it has met ALL my expectations! It's a perfect in-between vac (better than a small hand-held and way more convenient than a canister) Good battery life, SO easy to clean out. Some might think it's a little heavy and straining on your hand, having to hold the trigger, but I find it's ok for my use. Love my Dyson!

I bought the V11 Plus to replace my older Dyson V7, and the difference in performance is night and day. While I liked my old vacuum, this model is in a completely different league. The Highlights: Intelligent Auto Mode: The "Auto Mode" is brilliant. You can literally hear the motor shift gears when moving from rugs to hard floors. It optimizes the battery life automatically, which is a huge step up from the standard modes on the V7. A Win for Hard Floors: I was worried about a powerful vacuum scratching my floors, but this glides over them gently. Unlike older stick vacuums that sometimes flick crumbs and debris around, the V11 Plus sucks them up on the first pass without scattering them. Zero "Range Anxiety": The LCD screen tells you exactly how much run time is left down to the second. It sounds like a small detail, but knowing exactly how much time I have left to finish a room is a game changer compared to the V7 just dying unexpectedly. The "Plus" Versatility: having the extra attachments really helps getting into tight corners and cleaning upholstery. We love this vacuum. The suction is strong and it's easy to take apart to clean. I would caution if you have thick shag rug this may be too strong and there is not a height adjustment. Lightweight and keeps charge for a good amount of time.
